- arielI had someone call me from this # and without even asking which residence they were calling or whom they wanted to speak to, they started harrassing me in regards to some so called $3k debt that I had with their "electric company". They began questioning me and kept telling me that someone was on their way to my home to take the meter can from my home. I automatically told them that I had my receipts and check copies proving that I was up to date on my electric bills. Then things got fishy... and I started being told to give them my cell phone # so that they could contact me. I refused to. So the lady "transfered" me to her supervisor... whom then asked for an over the phone payment of $300 in order to avoid the metercan from being taken. Thats when I figured out what was going on and just hung up on them. now, these individuals cease to stop calling me. I've already called the PD and they are looking into this.

- MarionThis is fraud!!! This company is just a bunch of Loser trying to scam people out of money. Unfortunately my elder parents became victims and lost $400 when they asked for the money, my parents offered to pay with their debit cards and they refuse. Now what company would refuse, the reasons is that w/ a debit card and it can be traced. They wanted a gift card and my parents bought it and paid $200, then they called again and wanted another $200. Do Not BE another victim.
- AimJust received a call from this number. The guy asked for me by name in Spanish. I am married to a Hispanic man, and therefore have a Dominican last name. I do NOT speak Spanish very well, however. I told him this and tried to ask what he wanted from me. He seemed to try to slur the company name so that I could not understand it and mentioned something about a problem with my meter. After minutes of me trying to understand, I told him I was done with the conversation, hung up, and googled the number. Seems like a scam.

- Mrs. GrayMy mother was just called from this number. In spanish they said her electric service would be cut off or she could possibly have a faulty electric box that could spark a fire. My mother was very worried and almost went to the CVS drugstore to purchase a gift/ credit card with $300. She also gave them her cell phone number. Fortunately she called me first and I told her its a scam. She called the local gas electric company and reported this scam. My mother was told it is currently going around targeting spanish households. Beware!!!

- mpgMy received received a call saying that the and wanted a 500 dollar and wanted a 500 dollar deposit in the form of a green do in the form of a green dot gift card purchased from a Walgreens. They claimed they would be reimbursed for the deposit once the so called technician changed the meter. Luckily I I arrived to my parents residence where they told me the story and immediately found it suspicious. The callers claim to be calling as a third party hird my the current electric company my parents had. When they called back i spoke with the individual in which i simply told them i woild call the main company my parents had and did not want to deal with a third party. Once i said that they tried everything to keep mr from doing so, as far as trying to scare me threatning about a lawsuit claiming claiming that are let's go bills were only estimates and therefore we were taking the stealing from the company
- FFJust got a call this morning threatening to disconnect my energy service, because according to them my electric meter had an internal circuit issue that would cause all my systems to get damaged, including a potential fire hazard. The scam was the same as the ones reported by other folks in this thread, spanish speaking, initially referenced Nevada, when I said I live in VA they automatically adjusted the script to be dominion power. They continued to threat and place me on hold. They knew my address and full name, which sounded interesting. When I indicated that my energy company indicated this was a scam they got really defensive and said calls were being recorded, and that I was accusing them of scam. After that she said they will call me from the main Dominion number in 3 minutes. Meanwhile, the lady said her name is Amara Martinez, employee id 442 From Nevada Power, then from Dominion Power, phone number 888-201-8125, which is different from the original one 800-652-5503. Please do not fall for these tricks, my energy company has rarely contacted me, and when they have it has been very professional and they verify all the information on my file. They never ask for payments over the phone, they never threat, and they never disconnect your service without written notice, especially when in my case, my payments are all electronic and up to date. By the way, still waiting for them to call me from their main number.
