Recorded message from Avenue clothing stores. Mention the message at the register in store and get a particular promotional item for $5 with purchase. I've bought from them before and have a credit card from them, so I suppose I have given them permission to call. The call does not leave an easy way to make them stop, so I supposed one has to call them to remove themselves from the list.

5th call with a diff. number just today....

Someone keeps calling me asking for Charlene Walsh.  They are calling from 800-658-1164.  If I ask who is calling they won't tell me.  They wanted to know why I was asking.  I said because the next time you call me, I'm taking this paper across the street and reporting you to the police.

I tell them that Charlene doesn't live here and they want me to give her a message.  Idiots!!!

i didn't answer the call b/c i didn't recognize the number so i found this and thought i'd add a report too!

Some rude [***] called demanding to know where I work at and he wouldn't even tell me who the hell he was and where he was calling from. Probably a bill collector. Thank god for call blocking.

Some people NEVER learn...

We received a call from URS United Recovery Systems asking if we knew if our next door neighbors phone was working and to please pass on the contact Margaret Docherty 866 516 6961 ext 4171 regarding a business matter.  When asked how she got our number, Margaret stated that she "cross referenced" us.  I Googled the phone number and it was United Recovery Systems.  Well great, not bad enough we get unsolicited sales calls and bill collection calls but also get bill collection calls for our neighbors!  United Recovery Systems recently paid a judgment of $240,000 for unfair collection practices.  I would ask that if You have received a phone call from United Recovery Systems to please call Margaret and complain.  You may also call the President of United Recovery Systems Glenn Osuch at 713 977 1234 to complain.  It is also advisable that You file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and refer to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

United Recovery Systems is a scumbag debt collection agency.  You can easily find out this nasty outfit by searching for them on the internet.  Don't waste your time with them, you can not trust anything they say.  Here are known numbers to block/ignore.
