Unusual unknown company keeps calling this company phone line and won't verify information.

Keeps calling me multiple times a day. today I finally answered it was about texas state grants.. grants I apparently signed up for online.. I do not recall ever signing up for online grants... I just hung up when he asked for information..

The number above calls me several times a day...obviously some murky business...I never answer and never asked this number to call me. I want this blocked from my phone.

This number has called my cell phone twice in just over a week.  I called them back within 5 mins of their call today and it said the number was no longer in service.  Getting really tired of legit companies selling my information because I KNOW I didn't sign up for anything...I'm broke. LoL

I just had a call from 1-800-661-9390, and I actually spoke to a real person, instead of being a pre-recorded message. They wanted to talk to me about a grant application I did 2 months ago, and said they were calling from the government.
When I asked "Which government? Which country, which province?", he was a bit at a loss, but was able to say it was the US government.

The thing is, I'm Canadian, and I haven't even thought of trying to move to the US, let alone apply for a grant.

When I told him I was Canadian, he hung up. ;oP

I have received over 30 calls from this number over the past 2 weeks from this number.  When I tell them to remove me, they immediately hang up.  They are calling me cell number.  I told them that I would call the police the next time they called me and they said, "You want me to call back so I can talk to the police"... UGH!!!

They keep calling...............No message, number is no longer in service, I blocked the number, but they still call..........  Really getting tired of it.

1-800-661-9390 calls me a couple times a day. When I answered the first call (October 11, 2013), a man with a strong accent told me I was "assured a grant from Texas." I stated I had not signed up for a grant. He stated it was already filled in and ready for me to take. I stated I could not afford to apply for a grant and he stated it was already paid for; I just had to pay, "$3.97 to unlock the online grant." Right. I told him to remove my number from his list, as I am on the "do not call list." He obviously has not, and I continue to get calls from that number. I do not answer.

I have received the same calls from this number as well....they dont leave a message and are offering grants, etc. to me . Sounds like a scam or the other murky business everyone else is talking about!

Called and asked if I signed up for a federal grant. I said I never did such a thing and asked the man who he was and what company he was calling from. he hung up.

Received a call today. I have researched info for educational grants. Heavy accent of this personaying I had been approved for 9,000.00 dollars. Which is not the amount I wanted. Only want 6,000.00. Then I asked if this was about education monies. He stated  I was approved, could use monies for anything I wanted.ever had to be paid back. HaHa !!!! My small fee was $3.87. After reading comments here my ( doubting Thomas) will block. TY for comments. *-*

SCAM.   Answered two calls today of many that have come on my cell phone.  Stated that I was approved for a US Bank grant, that I could use for Housing, Business, Personal or Education.  They both gave me a call back number of 888-959-3117, but neither of them knew my last name.  They had my email address and couldn't explain why they didn't have my last name when I had completed an application.  They both had Middle East accents and when I pressed them both for their names it was Gary and Tom Smith...lol.  Oh and they wanted me to set up an account for only $3.87, then I would get my $8k.

Ugh. Everyday. Sometimes 10x a day!! STOP CALLING ME!!!

They have called me multiple times a day for a couple months now. I have told them MANY times I never signed up for any grant and to take me off their list... They obviously haven't. I even put my number on the governments do not call list but that did nothing.

At a loss for how to get them to stop calling!!!!

They started calling me two days ago, and even after telling them to not call me again they will not stop. I informed them that I had not applied for a grant and was not interested in receiving one, I figured it was a scam, and now I see I was right. I have no idea how they got my phone number, but I see that some of the people that has posted on here say they have their e-mail address.

When I call the number back it says the number has been disconnected.
