- JoeI get at least 3 random calls from them PER DAY. It's a recording saying "please call American Service Company at 800-662-3906" They don't even say what it is/what it does. So I call them up, ready to get mad at someone, and they tell me to enter a loan number, which I obviously dont have. So I wait for a bit, and then they tell me I cant talk to a representitive because its not during hours. I mean WTF? They can send out 2 recordings to me, but theyre closed. If you get a call from them, the calls wont stop. Ill try telling them never to call me tomorrow.

- JoniThis is a company that recently has been calling me, and have changed their number within the last month. What they REALLY want, and what you would find out if you had been able to google their old number, is they're after your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER which, when you call them back, they ask you to key it in. If you truly thought you were calling your OWN mortgage company, that wouldn't be a big deal, but if you know, like I do, that their scam is to STEAL YOUR IDENTITY you would call the police and the FCC which is what I am doing. Their previous number, when googled, would tell you all their dirty tricks. Now, they are sounding more legit and less menacing, but by getting you to call them back, you will innocently enter your SSN and BAM....they have gotten what they wanted!
Don't fall for it!- Caller: 000-000-0000
- Cape ResidentA message was left on my machine and when I called back I was required to give a loan number. Only one problem, I don't own the house and I have had my phone number for almost 10 years now

- T. HeinsRecieved two calls from this 800-662-3806 today. Both instructed me to call back but offered no other information. I have no business with the American Servicing Company. I am on the do not call list.
- Caller: American Services Company
- JohnThey call 3 times a day trying to get me to call them back. From what I read on the internet they are a Phishing scam. They have also blocked there caller ID a few times so it comes up all zeros but use the exact same female robot voice for the message.
- Caller: American service company
- SteveThey have called me twice now in the past week. I have NEVER had a mortgage with them. I contacted my current mortgage company and they said to call the company and find out what they want; however, when you try to call them you have to put in a social security number (which I never give out, and if you're truly my mortgage company, you should already have that on file) or your loan number. Well, idiots, I don't have a loan with you and never did. There is no way to reach a "live person" because this is a scam operation. All they want is to get your social security number and steal your identity. Google is full of hits for this *@#@*@*@ scam of a company. Do your research before you call them!

- SonofRetired PersonThere is nothing more pathetic than someone praying on old folks. It's as low as it gets. NEVER GIVE YOUR SSN TO ANYONE. If they don't have it, they don't need it. Thank God my mother always calls me on these to verify.

- Lisa replies to JD - MNInteresting. Some guy just left a piece of paper in my door. Mostly hand written. Homeowners Assitance and then the phone number, 800-662-3806. Also says to please be ready to give your account #. Yep, right. @@
- Allen| 2 repliesIts a mortgage servicing company. I have a mortgage with them and have fallen behind. It's a legitimate call almost all of the time people...they are just trying to find you at your current phone number or one listed in your past records which are public and searchable.

- JONFound Note inside door, on plain paper marked "URGENT PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATLEY." Have no bussness with this company, and when we called 1.800.662.3806 they instructed us to leave our loan number. No one will answer line, but request to leave the information on phone mail. Called our mortage company and they have no idea who this company is. When I did talk to someone they would not give use any information unless we would give up our social security numbers. watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- DJ replies to AllenNah, it is a phishing scheme to get social security numbers. My mortgage isn't with any company doing business with ASC and it has never been behind. In fact, they called consecutive numbers into my house and left the same message on each--and those aren't the phone numbers associated with my mortgage, so I know for sure they're not contacting customers--they're using auto-calling systems.
- KPMThis is the second time I have found a notice saying to call them on my door..This is NOT my mortgage company, my mortgage company doesnt know them, and hell will freeze over before I blindly enter my SSN to anyone...PFFT!

- ValAmerica's Servicing Company is actually owned by Wells Fargo. I have just recently started receiving calls from ASC. I had a loan through them, whereby they prevented my payments when I refused to give them information they already had, resulting in default. I complained, and they then force placed insurance on my loan, when in fact it was already covered, and they had the appropriate paperwork. I worked with multiple agencies to get the loan corrected, however, ASC was having nothing to do with it, and although they stated they corrected it they simply removed the fee from the "other charges" on paper and added them into my actual loan, increasing the payments. ASC was supposedly in the process of correcting the loan and initiating a re-modification, but instead sold it to Deutsche Bank, who promptly foreclosed on the property. I complained again to multiple agencies and even the president, who I will also mention is the ONLY one that has responded to my complaints. Since that complaint to the president I have received calls from ASC every day, as I do believe they are attempting to cover their A$$ now. This case is currently in court, and set for trial in June. It is amazing the scam that is happening all over America, between these financial institutions, it is no wonder their is a foreclosure crisis in progress. ASC contacted me yesterday, then they wanted me to identify myself giving again information that they already had, property address, loan number, ss number. I told them they called me and asked "what do you want", they refused to speak to me until I gave the information after multiple times advising them they had called me, what did they want? The conversation ended as they as ALL of you have said are phishing for information. America's Servicing Company, is Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo changes their name as do all the banks and companies so those they have frauded are unable to contact them. It needs to stop, and hopefully someday it will. Unfortunately there are no lawyers, or civil judges that are versed enough on this scam and the laws regarding it to provide justice to the customer, that has been wronged.

- Coral Springs Florida replies to JD - MNYes, before I called I researched the number and then I call my company number on the invoice that is sent to me every month. ASC (American Servicing Company) says that in the contract it says that if your behind they can send a "property inspector" to make sure that you are STILL occupying the property.
I wonder how many more people these people have violated peoples rights but manipulating them to sign contracts with them without representation from a lawyer to advise them of their rights? How much have money have taken from each person or family who only borrowed just a small amount and then they ASC charged them more points or processing fees (I think mine had to be about $20 thousand dollars. What was yours.
Citizen For An Honest Financial System - JR replies to AllenYes, this is my mortgage company, but with a different number. We have also fallen behind and they want to set up payment arrangements. If you do not have an account with them just call ASC and wait for an operator and explain. Otherwise, they will call and call.
- Katy| 1 replyASC is the servicing company for Wells Fargo if you have fallen behind in your mortgage.
- Grammy replies to KatyOkay, but what if you haven't fallen behind? Or, in fact, you don't even have a loan with them? Why are they calling me everyday, several times a day? When I pleaded with the guy to take me off the list, his response was, "We don't have a list." Huh?
- Ken| 1 replyI've been getting the calls for weeks from the automated system - and we have NEVER had an account with ASC or WF. I've called three times and gone through the painful never-ending menu system - each time I get to someone, it is the same thing - give them my phone number (which I've had for almost ten years), they ask for my name, when it doesn't match who they are looking for, they tell me they can't tell me anything more. I asked to be removed from their calling list since neither my wife or I are on the account (the only two adults in my household), they tell me it takes 48 hours, but the calls/messages persist every day (sometimes twice or three times) as they have for over a month now.
They need to get it straight that they are not going to reach this 'mystery account holder' no matter how many times they call the same number. Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again yet expecting a different result.- Caller: American Servicing Company

- Ken replies to KenAnd I should note that I've never missed a house payment and pay ahead by one month.
