Got a call from Rick Morgan at this number. Got it at work. I let it roll to voice mail, since I did not recognize the number. The number that showed up in my caller ID was in Omaha, and I don't know anyone there. It started something like, "Guys, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, but I've been busy with a new program that just crossed my desk..." and then goes on to talk about reducing credit card rates to 1.5% and how I'm making minimum payments, etc. But I don't who the guy is, so I figured he called the wrong number. I called the number he left, hoping to help him route it to the right person, but I got an answering service. That person was hard to understand, but I gather that she was trying to sell me on a credit card negotiation. I shot this down. Anyway, FYI, probably some sort of telemarketing effort counting on people to do as I tried to do.
rick morgan left the same exact message on my phone to. my caller id showed he called from a MS cell phone. but the number was disconected. so i called the # he gave on my phone 18006769714. a snotty lady answered and said rick morgan was unavailable. when i told her i knew it was a scam, she replied it wasnt. so i asked her why he called from a cell phone. she said he didnt then she quickly said have a nice day, and hung up.
I think it is a scam call. The phone number showed on my phone screen is 636-789-4672. a guy named rick morgan told me that I made minium payment each month and he would help me to reduce the credit card rate in half. he suggested me call him back at 1-800-676-9314.
Same message- but for me- the # on my caller ID was 314-439-0508 which is for KCI medical... not realted at all it was kinda weird. But obviously a scam.
I received a voice mail on my work cell phone from "rick morgan." Said being I only make minimum payments on my debts (not true)that I might be interested in his offer. Number he left was 800-676-9314. I am a law enforcement officer and the number he called was my work cell phone. I called the number back to see why they called my work cell number plus to see what company they were calling from. Any company I do business with would call my personal telephone numbers. Lady answered the telephone (debt relief center). I have never done business with a debt service nor am I interested in doing so. I asked for Rick Morgan and I was told he was not available but she could help me. I explained that I did not want these type of calls on my work cell number she said that they must have called it by mistake. She agreed to remove my number from their system. I believe that "Rick Morgan" does not exist and they are using a recorded message when they call our telephone numbers.
Same message received. Number he called me from was 314-421-4668. Number he said call him back at was 800-676-9314.
He called my cell. Wonder how this joker got our numbers. I rarely give out my cell number to anyone besides family/friends. Four companies that do have my cell number are T-Mobile, AT&T, UFCU-Austin, and USAA.
Got a voice message on my company cell phone this morning from a person calling himself Nick Morgan (no company identification) that sounded like the first part of the message had been cut off. Went on about me making - supposedly - minimum payments on my credit card, we should talk about this, and by the way, this was the last courtesy call. I should call 1-800-676-9314. Did not call back, because this is obviously a scam.
I got the same message - the beginning of the message is cut off and then "Rick Morgan" says its a good opportunity.....and this is his last call. glad i found this website- it saved me the trouble of calling a scammer back. thanks.
I got the same mssg from Rick Morgan caller id #314-439-0508... "making minimum payments.....last time he will call..." He asked that I return the call to 800-676-9314. Of course I didnt, the key is that he would not know if we were making minimum payments unless we authorized a credit report search and of course we didnt do that either....its a SCAM!!!
Ditto. I got the same call from this Rick Morgan. The caller id on my work phone said 314-4390508, the number he said to call back on was 1-800-676-9314. He said I was making minimum payments and he can get me at 1% interest rate. First of the call was weird, he didn't introduce himself and the kinda of company he work for. The voice just started off saying: this is the last courtesy call and to call him back. I entered this number into google and it came up with a landlined in Missouri.
I'm not going to respond to the Rick Morgan call, either. However, recently several credit card companies retrieved credit reports without my authorization. The only reason I knew is that one of my current credit card companies reduced my credit limit. I called and they told me that someone had recently checked my credit rating(never understood why that is a bad thing), but after taking another look, and seeing my credit rating was good, they would place my credit limit back to its original amount. Then I checked my own report. Sure enough, several banks had checked my credit rating in the last 6 months, and I knew nothing about it. Doesn't seem right to me. But there it is!
Got the same message on my work phone. My message was also cut off...which makes me think it was a pre-recorded message and not a real person. The message started...cut payment in half and something about making minimum payments but this was the last courtesy call and I had to return his call that day.
As there was no reference to a company, I googled the number and found these posts...thank you all for sharing your experience. Won't be calling the scammer back.
Got the same call- also went to voicemail. first part of the message was cut off. made a return call to the missed call number (402-982-0846) rather than the number left by mr. rick morgan. first option when i called this number was to be removed from the call list by pressing "1". i did so- good riddance.
Got an unsolicited robo call from (402-982-0846) aka Rick Morgan. Got it on my cell. I let it roll into voicemail, cause I did not know the number. The number that showed up on caller ID was in Omaha, NE. It started like Eric above said, "...cut off part... sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, but I've been busy with a new program that just crossed my desk..." and it went on about reducing credit card rates and how I'm making minimum payments, etc. Then he left a call back number of 800-676-9314. Too bad I don't have any credit cards to make min payments on to even make this halfway legit.
I received the same call as all the others below. Rick Morgan, first part of the message also cut off 800-676-9314. How do I stop these unwanted calls and how do they get the cell phone numbers anyway.
I had a message from Rick Morgan on my cell phone today. Just like the above callers, the message sounded like it had been cut off and stated that he was sorry to have taken so long to get back to me. He said he checked into things and saw I was only making minimum payments and would be able to get me a 1.5% rate. Not sure what he was checking on but I am guessing credit cards. Funny thing, he stated he was getting back to me but this was my last courtesy call so I must act now. He left the 1-800-676-9314 number. At first I thought it was a mistake and was going to call back and tell him he called the wrong number but then decided to check into the number first and am glad that I did not even bother.
