    Received three calls at work.
    On Friday, Saturday and this morning.
    It's not very clear, but they do say they are a collection agency and to call 800-688-7929 ask for Ms. Moore and they give a ref.#. I tried to call, it was busy. I just wanted to know who was this collection agency and why were they calling. It's very suspious.

    There are a collection company. They use a predictive dialer. Those dialers are not concerned who owns the #, their ONLY concern is to collect the debt or harrass the debtor. If you are called by this comapny and they are looking for someone else tell them bluntly..............THERE IS NO ONE HERE BY THAT NAME. KINDLY REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THE QUE!!! FAILURE TO HEED THIS NOTICE WILL RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION. ADDITIONALLY I NEED YOUR COMPANY NAME; TELEPHONE NUMBER & YOUR NAME...your real name not the alais you use around the office!!!!!! Then report them to the Do Not Call Registry if you are registered. Do not hesitate to report them to the FTC for debt collection violations and your states AG office for telephone harrassment.....

    Further investigation reveals that this company is called NCO Financial Services, Inc. Their address is listed as 507 Prudential Road  Horsham, PA. 19044. However, the contact information number is 800 688 7929. Additionally a law firm named Sessions; Fishman & Nathan LLC. they are the firms that handles the litigation. The law firm can be reached @ 3850 N. Causeway Blvd. Suite 1200 Metarie, LA. 70002 and their contact phone number is 504 828 3700. *****The Sessions, in that firm may be the former Federal Judge William Sessions of the 5th circuit Ct of Appeals in New Orleans. The firm claims it is not. The judge has a son who is a U.S. Congressional Representative from TEXAS. They both were very high up in corporate South western Bell Telephone before the merger with AT&T.  That said do not let this collection firm or any collection firm push you around. Report them and all violators of the F.D.C.P.a. to the FTC.

    I also got an unknown on the caller id, but a mrs wheeler left me a message to return the call with some referance number, did not say who she was calling from or that it was an attempt to collect a debt, so I found this very useful and will let mrs wheeler keep spinning her wheels on my virtual round file of message deleted!

    Received a call this afternoon.  Since the voice message was cut off, I called to find out who they were.  NCO Financial.  When I asked them to removed my number from the calling list, I was told that my number was not on their list to call, so they "couldn't" have called me.  Which is odd, since this is the second call I've received from them.  I told the woman on the other end that if I received another call from them, I would report them to the Texas Attorney General and the FTC.  She snapped back that, "It's not illegal to call someone," and hung up before I could respond that, yes, it is indeed illegal to do so if you have no valid reason and you have been asked to stop.  So I just cut to the chase and reported them today.

    I get this call every day as well looking for a friend who used to live here.  But this is in litigation.  They call to harrass me and they have his contact information.  Yet, they keep calling.  They should be removed from business if they keep this up.  Often they're rude and have no reason to call other than to look for my friend.

    This is NCO Financial Services; they leave me voicemails and do not specify who I owe the debt to, how I incurred it, how much it is, or the reference or contact people. When I do pick up, they are aggressive. Report this to the FTC if you are getting these calls!

    I also received a call from them today. Yes, the are NCO Financial. I believe at least one of the clients that they collect for is PayPal and any PayPal related companies. They called me, and the debt is legit. I do owe PayPal $91 stemming from an eBay auction gone awry. They are rather easy to work with and are willing to set up payments for you if you take the time out to talk/work with them.

    Dear {insert name of collector or company},

    I am writing in response to your (letter or phone call) dated {insert date}, (copy enclosed) because I do not believe I owe what you say I owe.

    (b) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection (a) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.

    I respectfully request that you provide me with the following information:

    Be advised that I am fully aware of my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance, I know that:

    you cannot add interest or fees except those allowed by the original contract or state law.

    you do not have to respond to this dispute but if you do, any attempt to collect this debt without validating it, violates the FDCPA;

Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act § 1681s-2. Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and request the case be dismissed based on your failure to comply with the FDCPA.

    Finally, if you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also aware of my dispute with this debt.
