I was charged 9.74 on my VISA statement for Automotive Parts.  I called this number to dispute the charge and got no one . . . only an answering machine that requests I leave a detailed message.  Of course I have not heard back.  I spoke to my bank about it and now it seems I have to cancel this VISA card I have had for around 20 years because of some jerk who hasn't got the integrity to earn an honest dollar.  My guess is that someone has obtained a block of VISA card numbers and is charging small amounts in hopes that most people will ignore the small charges on their credit card statement and he makes off with a lot of money.

The same exact thing happened to me today. My bank told me I had to "cancel" my card as well! That pisses me off since I have NEVER used this card! And I told them that.. they also told me I had to call the company and "work it out" with them! Well.. I guess we see where this is going since we all got SCAMMED! I certainly didn't order any automotive parts! All I can say to anyone looking up this # is CANCEL your card!!

Dialed 800 number and got unknown voicemail requesting to leave message.  One was left - threatening to dispute the charge which has already been initiated.

Charge for $9.54 listed under Extra Path....don't know what that is.  Shows as automotive.   Didn't make such a transaction.  Got voicemail like others when I called 800# listed.  Called the CC company to dispute it.  New card and account number needs to be issued.

I just used the card in Mexico last month while on a cruise...hmmm..

Just glad it was a small amount so the CC didn't give me a hard time about it.

I was charged $9.48 on my debit card on jan. 2, called the number to question the charge and got a voice messaging service. my bank is now removing the charge and having to cancel my debit card.

Like all the others reporting here recently, appeared as a fraudulent charge on my credit card statement.  Thanks to everyone else who reported this, it's very helpful to be able to discover this information right away.

Same thing with me luckliy I had wamu they reversed it and issuing me a credit.  What the hell is this company we should all sue make it a class action.

I got a voicemail message, left a message and I have started talking to my bank about it. I am soooo frustrated that this things can happen.

Got my card too for $9.59 on 12/24/08. Didn't travel that day, wasn't anywhere near Texas.

Same thing happened to me today.  I was charged $9.22 by Extra Path.  I called to dispute the charge and got a voice mailox.  Had to cancel my card and will probably spend the rest of the day canceling everything that I have automatically charged to my debit card.  Whoo hoo!

My wife just noticed a $9.59 charge on my debit card... I called the number and it says the number isn't available from my calling area. Funny thing is that I'm working in an oil field 280 miles north of the arctic circle right now, (no place to use my card) and I know my card hasn't been used for quite a while. Got the run around from my bank and just ended up canceling my card.

Issuing a new card now to myself.

I don't even know how they got the information. I'm paranoid and very secure.

call to 800 number says the number has not been activated

Called Citibank and disputed charge. Hopefully the credit card companies are taking action.

I just noticed the same kind of charge of $8.26 from EXTRA PATH on my bank statement that has a Visa attached. Just lovely... so now I have to cancel my card AND all my upcoming transactions etc. Somebody needs to GET these goofs!

I found this charge today.  I live in Rapid City South Dakota.  Have never been to El Paso.  My bank is refunding, but having to cancel the card and reissue.  8.44 on my card.  JERKS.
