The caller left a msg saying that he was Mr. Rodriguez from the law offices of John C Bonawitz. He was trying to locate someone that used my name as a reference? My number is a new listing. I did not return the call.

I also got a message from someone at that number saying that I was listed as a reference for an estranged relative. I returned the call. The person I spoke with could not tell me much, but he did say that my name had been given to their firm just a few months ago. Meanwhile, I have not been in touch with this relative in 5 years - for good reason! I do not know whether to believe the person from the law office/collection agency (i.e. my name is being used as a reference for someone I have cut ties with) or whether this is some kind of scam?

My sister in law was contacted by the law office of John C Bonawitz. Then I followed up with them. They use HARD collection attempts. I was on a payment plan with Best Buy and missed one month. I then was contacted by this agency stating I had been turned over to them due to my REFUSAL to make payments with best buy. This was absolutely incorrect. It is now being demanded that I pay 10% of the bill or I will be taken to court??? I will post another update after I am taken to court, cause I sure can't pay the 10% right now. I tried to google the company and could not find them.

i received a call form this tele # at 1;14 pm today asking for help.ms. henry stated that she was calling from a law office and needed to contact one of my neighbors.(raquel p.)said if i could walk down the block and have her call her back at 1-800-700-2106 ext 7123 very important.asked how she got my number? she said in the phone book looked up addresses close to the neighbors and found me. now ! should i get involved? or should i forget it?if she needed her so bad ,why not call her direct?or mail the neighbor the info?

Got a call from this number from a man who said his name was Cameron Foster.  He was looking for one of my children (the youngest of whom is 38!).  I did not give him the phone number but took his number and called my child.  My child said there had been calls to several of his/her friends also from this man for him/her.

Don't know what is it all about ? call them back to ask why they call.

A man claiming his name was MR. CRUZ contacted my parents and told them that he was calling for an ATTY. named JOHN BOROWICZ. He told them that they were representing me in a court case and they needed to speak with me about my final decision on the matter, or they would be forced to make it for me.   None of this is true, and when questioned about his credentials he became VERY IRATE and began screaming and cursing at me.  My guess is that they are nothing more than a collection agency pulling a really bad scam????

Received 5 calls from this number between 8am and 8:30 am on a Saturday.  They have called before, saying they need to talk to my son and have been told that this is not his number.  We have even given them the right number to call, but they keep calling...almost daily, but especially on weekends.  We've stopped answering and they leave no voice mail.  Numerous calls on weekends, every weekend, from 8am to late at night.  About to get the phone disconnected!

They collect for Capital one and are verifying your info with you on phone to sue you and place judgement against you.Do not answer your door to the cops they are your process servers in cook county, yes the undercover narco units process serve.
I have seen 15 people I know lose there job and get sued by capital one all within the last six months, move or have someone say you do not live there anymore or they will place that judgement and garnish you whenever you find work. You been red flagged for civil enforcement. How they afford it? That is corporate money against little old you and dont worry Obama will bail them out after they spend a year doing this and are Bankrupt. Yes I voted for him and will again, he was handed a pile of $#%^ and has to deal with it., Give Obama his 8 years to do so. Who knows it might all end in dec 2012 anyway. The world that is.

They are really unprofessional and rude. I had a very unpleasant experience with them and the man had the nerve to argue with me about something he was in the wrong about.

"Mr" Cruz called regarding a debt I have with WAMU (now Chase) and was very hostile toward me. Accused me of ignoring their calls and made it sound like this had been going on for some time but it was the first time I'd seen this number. He wouldn't give me any information and I told him I was driving with my family and had a weak signal. We were in the mountains and the call dropped. He called back and left a threatening message about "thinking twice before I hang up on him again" even though I'd already told him the signal was weak and the call obviously faded out. I called back to complain and was threatened with legal action within only a few days. These guys us thuggish strongarm tactics. Get legal advice if these people come calling.

Have spoken to several of the employee's at the John C Bonewicz office, all of whom have been very rude, argued with me, twisted words and then hung up on me, including the famous "Mr Cruz" who got very upset when questioned what his first name was and hung up.  I don't understand, I willingly call to try and work something out and they hang up on five times, why would I now pay or trust such an unprofessional company.  And after telling them I can only be reached on my cell they continue to call and harass family in a different state I've never lived looking for me, wtf, I call, they hang up, then call back.  Makes no sense.

I too received a call from this law office and received nothing but bully tacticts.  I tried to resolve my credit issues by trying to set up a payment plan that I could afford.  This was not good enough for this law office and claimed that I refused to make payment and hung up on me.  Don't figure.   RUDE!

This people called me like 5 times at work today, is this even legal? I will send the cease and desist letter and see what happens.

We were called from the "supposed" law offices of John C Bonawitz as well.  The person who called was totally rude when I asked where they were calling from.  She said that it was concerning a relative of my husband, but would not tell me who so I handed the phone to him thinking it was important.  
We have an unlisted/unpublished phone number and have no idea where or how they got it.  I tried calling them back to see where they were located but for obvious reasons they would not take the call but forwarded it on.

these people call every hour on my cell for the last few months.  who are they?

The guy that called my wife told her to skip her heating/electric bill in order to send that money to them.

I recently had unpleasant contact with thee guys. Tried to reconsile but they would not budge and keep on hanging up on me. I tried to establish their credentials but got different job responsibilities by a single person (Anisha). Were not willing to make a settlement and as usual got hung up at. Did anyone actualy got sued by these guys?

Did they file any legal actions against you?
