Got a voicemail from this number saying his name Jim and wanting to increase my VA disability benefits. Yes I am in the military but not receiving benefits...smh

I received a VM from Jim as well. He did not identify who he was attempting to reach, but advised he wanted to increase my VA disability benefits by $1000. I am a military spouse of a non-disabled veteran. Scam.

Many other people have been getting this recorded message from jim who stops in the middle of the VM and continues. Offering $1000 extra and also saying he's been trying to reach you for days and if he doesn't hear anything within a few days he will delete your file. Sounds like a scam to me

Oh Jim, why do you keep trying?

I am a Vet with disability benefits, but am smart enough to know the VA would never call if it benefits the service member. Recieved the same VM everyone else is reporting.

Same call from Jim statng his voicemail was messing up on another phone. I'm a disabled Vet but not born last week. Good luck Jim just hope you don't screw over the wrong Vet.

Rec'd call from this number no one answered when I picked up - it disconnected, I decided to look on line who/where the call came from - I'm retired military not receiving any benefits - thanks to other posts above I put this on my auto reject list

Just got the exact same voicemail. What a scammer.

They disconnected when I answered. I received a text message from another number earlier today saying "Veteran (my last name) I am purging our records of inactive clients & want to ensure you are NOT interested in the VA claim we last spoke about that is worth ~ $917/mo before deleting your file today. If you ARE interested call or text us back 352-405-0094 Louann"   I believe that these two may be connected as I received the text earlier today and then received the call just a few moments ago. I am a veteran but do not have a pending VA claim  therefore this is obviously some type of scam.

Got the same message as above from a 'Paul'.

Fellow Vet here. March 2016: Received a few phone calls w/no message, & texts & emails addressed to my first & last name.

If I recall correctly, they were either affiliated w/Recruit Military or USAA. I contacted one of them (don't remember which) & read them the riot act @ sharing my info.

Was so upset, that I didn't follow through to see if Jim was legit.
