- Ms. Irritated!| 2 repliesKristina, I have NO idea who owns this number, but I too received a call from this number my caller ID showed unavailable; therefore, I did not answer the call. If they can't bother to identify themselves I can't be bothered answering them and I suggest you ignore them as well. Scammers usually don't ID themselves so just avoid them by ignoring the call or if you have a 4 in 1 printer I strongly suggest setting up the FAX and let them get an earful of fax tones for their trouble!!

- Ms. Irritated!| 1 replyKristina - I received another call from 800-709-8325 (1/2/11 & 1/4/11) which showed on my caller ID as unavailable; however, after some research I found a page on a really NASTY collections company called NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEMS which buys good bebt, bad debt, and any debt for pennies on the dollar and has been sued for 1.5 million for violations of the Fair Collections Act and is continuing to rack up complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Pennsylvania Attorney General where the company is based. The page lists quite a few numbers used by this company including a number that begins with (800) 709; therefore, it is most likley this outfit calling. They break the Fair Collections Act and each state's Fair Collections laws left & right!! Do Not Answer These Calls!! Go to http://www.callferret.com/nco-financial-systems.html and read the comments, also google NCO Financial Systems and you'll find many more disturbing facts about this company. Send a CERTIFIED CEASE COMMUNICATION LETTER if the calls continue and file complaints with the FTC & PA Attorney General & the Attorney General of your state which will back them off and put you in a position to SUE THEM!!

- Maddad54| 3 repliesJust got a call from 800-709-8325 and actually talked to a lady who said she was calling from wyoming and it was for the American Cancer Society. She works for a telemarketing company that tries to get you to donate to a cause and then they take a big % of it for themselves. NCO Financial Systems # is 800-709-8625. I asked the lady and she says they do no calls for debt collectors.

- Ticked Off replies to Mickey| 1 replyI get a call everyday form this number. I'm sick of it!!
- john replies to EddieWiz| 1 replyHow it works is a random number generator calls several numbers. Once it hears your voice the call is transferred to a call center. That is why you notice you may have to say hello twice. After the first hello you are in transfer. Sometime there are not enough Reps to pick up the phone that is why you hear background noise.
- Sunshinei get this call every day at 8:18 a.m. when i pick up, no one is there.
- Anna| 1 replyIt is the American Cancer Society they call me at least twice a week because I helped them send donation envelopes to my neighbors and from then on they kept calling asking me to do it again and again I said no but they sent them anyway, I didn't do it but now they keep calling me to do it again so I just called back and the message said to press 3 to have my number taken off their calling list so I hope they stop.

- TerryGot call from 800-709-8325. Left no message. Don't who called, but wished they would leave a message. I don't answer callers who don't bother to leave a message.
- PotatoSaid that they were going to send me a packet next month and for me to hand it out to my neighbors. They were the American Cancer Society.
- Caller: American Cancer Society
- Huh replies to Ms. Irritated! This call is soliciting help from the American Cancer Society's fundraising division. They're asking individuals to be a group leader in their neighborhood and mail out 15 pledge cards to fellow neighbors and collect the money and return it to them in envelopes that they will provide. All checks are to be made out to ACS. I did this two years ago for them. My part was that I pay postage to all the neighbors. It's not a collection agency trying to collect from unresponsible parties.
