It's a debt collector. They called and left a message from "Mitchell N Kay". I don;t have any debts and will not be calling them.

Same thing, No idea who they are. They left a message for a law office and the wanted to collect a debt.

Law offices of Mitchell N Kay i believe?  automated message sent out to the previous owners of our phone number.  they're working on old information.

LEFT VOICE MAIL  STATING THAT IF I LISTENED TO VOICE MAIL THAT I WAS ACKNOWLEDING THAT I WAS THE PARTY THAT THEY WERE CALLING - DELETED FROM CELL PHONE (NEVER LISTENED TO VOICE MAIL THEY SENT) DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE

Called asking if I was someone - did not respond to the message "If you are not that person press 2" - Who are these people?

Law office from Mitchell and Kaye.  Wanted info to collect on a debt. We have no debts, and had I answered the phone, would not have given them info on anyone else I know either.  Law offices usually bill you direct anyways.
They are lawyers, they don't need a collection agency.

This number called my number twice, and the calls were 10 mins apart and each left the exact same 2 automated vm. What is with all the automation in society today? It's so annoying! FYI If I can't speak with a real person, I don't listen,communicate, purchase, or subscribe. Period.

called this number back to tell them they had the wrong number and they hung up on me - thats what i get for being nice!!!

FYI people, placeing calls with automated dialers to cell phones is illegal!

Don't be nice, report that number to your Attorney General!

It calls my cell phone at least twice a day and leaves some pre-recorded message behind. Sorry, I don't even listen to it, but delete it the second it begins. I don't have time for automated crap, nor will I allow it to burn up my paid minutes...doesn't matter who it's from.

Called and stated they were from the law office of Mitchell MK and they were trying to collect an unpaid debt.  Asked to confirm who I was by inputting my last 4 digits to my social security number.  I did!  Stupid me.

It seems that this Bottom Feeding Crab has purchased some new old time barred 10 year old recycled credit card accounts and greatly inflated their balance. Apparently he has created another offspring named PORTFOLIO ASSET MANAGEMENT as his alleged client.  

I contacted the New York City Dept. of Consumer Affairs to see if he is Licensed as a Debt Collection Agency. He IS NOT LICENSED as New York City Debt Collectors are required to be. As a matter of fact they told me that he IS NOT LICENSED to conduct any kind of business in the City of New York. They have a list of complaints against him dating back to 2003. He is Incorporated in New York State as a Sole Practitioner Attorney. His Bar # is 1538412. He was admitted to the NY State Bar in 1962 so that would make him at least 70 or older. I doubt he ever shows up at his Collection Agency/Law Office address and certainly doesn't practice Law. He is operating outside of the Law. I'm filing a complaint against him and advise others to do so as he can't operate without a License. The number to call to get a complaint form is 212 639-9675. His office continues to call me after receiving Certified Cease Communication and Validation requests.

His letters have a large window cutout on the left side of the envelope that reveals that the letter is from a Lawyer ("Law Offices of Mitchell N. Kay PC") and ("Personal & Confidential") (Large caps and Bold print), "Return Receipt Requested". The clear cutout window is about 3 times the size of a regular window envelope for Shock effect. This is a Collection tactic that implies someone is prepared to sue me when in fact they can't. That is a violation of the FDCPA. A Lawyer has to have at least some personal control over any letters bearing his name. According to the Licensing Law in NYC all correspondence must have the License number and that it is a NY Dept of Consumer Affairs License on all Letterheads, Receipts, and other printed matter on them. Got a call from Mitchell & Kaye Lawfirm with the automated voice mail..  I called them back and the lady on the line was very rude.  Stated that I owed $125.00 to Direct TV, but when I asked for what she got loud and just kept saying for Direct TV.  I asked her again for what, late fees, missing equipment, what is the fee for.  She again said for Direct TV you need to pay with credit card.  I finally told her to stick up her A-- and hung up the phone.
