Collection Agency for Student Loans they refuse to identify themselves and never give you a cb number

they call (caller ID says toll free) when I answer they hang up !

Its Allied Interstate, a collection agency who works for the Dept of Education and other student lenders. Write them by certified mail and request proof of the debt and also demand they cease all further communication with you. Their address is Allied Interstate Inc., PO Box 26190, Minneapolis MN 55426.

This is a bill collector that won't stop calling me. On a work line at 8:30 in the morning for days on end. WTF? What total jerks.

They have been calling my phone 10 times per day, at all hours.  According to other posts, this is a collection agency connected to student loans.  I do have a student loan debt, and because they will not allow me to make payment amounts that work for me, they are harassing me. They want around $900 a month, which is not possible for me.

That's the address of one specific center, not where mail of that fashion would be received, if you send cease and desist letters to that address you are only wasting time.

The address you would send them to is the one in Columbus OH, look it up.

Allied Interstate is a SCAM! Do NOT give them your information. They also call from this number 8887484956 asking you about Capitol One credit card and requesting your card number. I do not have a Capitol One card nor do I have any student loans debt, yet they call from both numbers (and more) harassing me... I have never answered, but now that I know its a scam I will make it very uncomfortable for them.

This company called me yesterday, for someone who apparently used me as a reference, told me ysterday they would take me off the list and called again today and then put me on hold! amazing...

This company is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Sloppy record keeping, failure to validate at every level, under-trained, uneducated collectors SEVERELY lacking in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act training.

Intellirisk must be making BIG bucks in collecting because they sure don't spend it to insure they comply with the laws. Student loans with these idiots is a nightmare. Most Allied collector's don't have a clue in handling even the most basic of consumer complaints. Loans that have been paid, in the wrong names and outdated credit bureau reporting are fast targets for lawsuits because Allied is unable or unwilling to respond.

If you receive a collection notice from Allied DISPUTE IT! Even though you will never receive a reply, it is important that you use the law to your advantage. Allied aptly fits the saying; "the right hand hasn't a clue what the left hand is doing" Brain-Dead! Idiots! Untrained!

May I state again....THANK GOD FOR THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT!! Someone in Washington must have had a dream about companies like Allied to enact the law. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email  the details w/your location.  Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.

Continuing calls and hangups.  They were told in no uncertain terms not to call this number---to no avail.  We have no debts and have no idea who they are calling!

They have called several times at all different times of the day and NIGHT and when I answer, they hang up!!!  I do have student loans, but they are not in default.  I don't have any outstanding bills that would be in collection, so I dont' know why they are calling unless it is for who ever had my cell number before me.  I have had this cell number for 6 years so I'm not sure what is going on, but I am sick of being woke up in the middle of the night!!!

You need to send complaints about their student loan collection tactics to the Dept of Education.

When they receive enough complaints from those of you being illegally harassed - they will cancel the contract.

this number 800-715-0395 alternates calls between my cell phone and home number every 30 minutes from 8 am until 8:58pm Monday thru Sunday.
They called my Home Owners Association and discussed the debt in great detail with the HOA's secretary and any other staff who would listen when thsy call. Not my debt it belongs to ex spouse whom I have been divorced from for over 7 years....

They called my cell phone !! How in the hell did they get that number ?? These people are simply [***].

They call all the time, doesn't matter what time it is, this morning they called at 7:45am. I stopped answering because there's never anyone there when I do. But the calls just keep coming.

I paid off most of my student loans. Had serious financial troubles along while back and took a serious credit hit for over a decade because of it.  The small remaining debt I had on student loans was written off as it pre-dated some of the newer laws that changed this. Now almost 20 years later Allied is calling me saying I am violation of federal laws and demand information from me for payment..? Really?  This happened totally out of the blue at work, and now they predictably call every morning while I am at work.

I think they researched and bought really old previosuly written off debt and attempt to capitalize on   to make a large profit on you is what they are about.

They are scum and the one time I talked with them the person lied and said he was a federal agent... They honestly wasting their time with me. Sometimes I pick up and mute my phone and leave it there... let them pay for the minutes they waste.

These low life bast**** operate a boiler room operation...they been calling me for years..I never answer, but block my number and call back and remain silent.....I hear them cussing people, threatening them, etc....They also call me from a direct number in Houston, TX...A/C 713.....I now just push my mute button when they call and ignore them....These scums should be prosecuted to the fullest of the law...but sometimes you wonder...'what law'...I owe no one anything....My bills are paid in full monthly...how they chose me is unknown...and I actually could care less.....They all sound Hispanic or Latino...so who knows what kind of operation they got going.

I don't have a credit card or a student loan. They call daily. All I can think of is my number used to belong to someone who did. I just don't answer it. No worries.
