- Jr.It is HSBC and they keep calling me even after I've already talked to someone...twice! Actually 3 times but I hung up on the last guy. It's, to say the least a little annoying but I have no problem talking to them again but every time I answer a recording says "all operators are busy we have an important message for you please standby for next available operator" and I've waited a couple of times only to be hung up on. There's something truly wrong with that whole scenario.... I can't wait to finally talk to them!! These are the only bill collectors I have left calling me so I'm gonna have fun with this one!
- Caller: HSBC

- mod replies to fedup| 4 repliesYou need to call them and explain a how and why and steps you are taking to correct
- BrownBeau| 8 repliesHSBC is not a bad company but since the housing market is unstable they are worried like everyone else. If you have a mtg. with them, set up a future payment via checking if you can, then they will stop. Unless, you pay them via electronic billing on a monthly basis or make prior tangible arrangements, even if you are up to date with payments, they will call until they reach you. This was not the case in the past and hopefully Mgt. will realize that this only gives them a bad name. Usually, they will work with you but know your rights.

- Barbie replies to BrownBeau| 2 repliesWow. An HSBC employee? That is why I never give my home number, regardless of who I'm giving it to. Everything goes to cell. As for HFC, or Beneficial, or whatever, there is no real intention on their part to work with a struggling mortgagee. Not even if you had previously made timely payments for the past 10 years. Let a recession hit you hard and, regardless of the higher interest rates companies such as HFC charge for "high risk" mortgages, and they are ready to pounce, threatening with foreclosure and ruined credit. But now, people are opening their eyes and not being led around like sheep, and they realize damaged credit is not as fatal as it is portrayed to be. You just have to be ready for not getting anything on credit, and its that what got many of us in trouble in the first place? After over 10 years of paying 1300 per month, my home, which formerly qualified for a 130,000 mortgage, has been paid for, lock, stock and 2 smokin barrels. Anything else HFC, HSBC, or whatever gets, or doesnt, is only cutting into the bank's profits, not the cost of the home. Soooo, keep on calling.
- Rosie| 2 repliesThey just called AGAIN, we have no dealings with them whatsoever. Our mortgage is NOT through them, nor are we in debt or owe anyone. So why do they call us. We just dont answer any 800, 866, etc. calls. If someone puts you as a reference I wonder if they can call and bug you.
- joe replies to Rosieif you are a reference..yes they can call you until you tell them not to call you.
- coltsgal40| 1 replyPretty much the same story as everyone else. We have a mortgage through them. I make my payment on time and they are calling me next day and wanting me to schedule my next payment. They send out statements and I could understand them calling SEVERAL times a day if I was late.

- baffled| 1 replyThis number calls on Sundays, it is against the law to call and harass people on Sundays for money for any reason, but we do not even do business with them, and if they are not in the US I would definately not do business with them that is what is wrong with this country.
- sickandtired replies to BrownBeau| 3 repliesWhatever - HSBC SUCKS! I can't stand these turkeys. They can kiss my a##. They are a crooked company and they need to be fined - not just for this (this is really nothing) but are their terrible mortgage servicing practices. I will be so happy with they get caught. The government is so lazy though - there is no regulation which is why they get away with so much. I hope the President and CEO suffer a miserable death!
- Bea| 1 replyAll this Mortgage company wants is a check over the phone. No problems solved! Can't wait to get rid of this headache! Loan modification helps little. We have the same headache all over again once the loan modification has expired. Payments are high, interest is higher. This company is too big and I spoke to different individuals every time we called or they call. We faxed them so many papers for every modification. Do they think we are going to become wealthy over night? Pray hard!

- Brian replies to BeaYep, HSBC
Screw them. I have a rental property and have recently lost my job and got a new one that pays less, and lucky to even have that.
I am defaulting on the loan and letting them foreclose. When 5 months goes by and a real American person calls me to work something out I will let them know that if they wanted to work soemthing out in the first place they would not have treated us all like cattle and sqeezing money out of our tits.
