They asked if this was (name) and hung up.

They didn't leave a message.

Call was from a young, very energetic female who started talking about helping the handicapped...I agreed that it was important to help the handicapped, but that I was unsure I wanted to do it by giving money to a caller who's identity was blocked on my Caller ID. She hung up on me before I got the whole sentence said. :-)

This number has shown up on my caller ID on the following dates:  June 25 & 27, July 1, 8, & 12.  A bit excessive?  A message was never left.

Asked for Mr. (last name) and hung up.

This company has repeatedly called my house since the end of June. On July 8th, they called 3 times, with two hours between each call. My family does not answer the phone unless we know the name on the caller ID. Finally fed up, my husband called them back and the company claimed that they are a service that calls people when their bank account is overdrawn. My husband then told them that we are not who they are looking for, yet they have continued to call.

Is there anyway to stop them from calling everday?

They just found me so I guess I know what I can expect in the future.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  I would like to know what good it is to be on the no call list???

I got a call this morning and he asked for me by name. He said he was with special olympics and that they were not collecting anything but instead wanted to send me magazine subscriptions. I told him that I donate to the local people in the Special Olympics and was trying to cut down on my magazines. He didn't want to take no for an answer. I told him to take me off the call list. He ended up hanging up on me.
Tonight - I got yet another call from them!!!! Now I am mad. Do they really think they will make friends and collect from people whom they offend?

Called the number back and they have another customer service number to call for more info.

I received a call from them early this morning. I did not answer as I did not know who was calling. I have had several calls in the past from these people and I figure if it was important they would leave me a message.

How do they get our #'s if we are on the "do not call" list???

and apparently it's for Windstream,(my phone service provider), non-profits, special Olympics, breast cancer, or Discover card, and yet, it always says, SVC on the caller ID.

Since there is apparently a single source, SVC, I should be able to prevent these calls. Any suggestions?

This number keeps calling and hanging up and leaves no message.  I am just out of the hospital and had to get out of bed to answer nothing.
