Looking for payment

We kept getting calls from this number every single day, stating that it's from our jeweler even though we don't have one.  We're on the FCC do not call list and it was getting irritating.  I googled this number and finally called them with the fear that telemarketer will know my number is active.   The person on the number stated that he works for Sterling Jeweler at the corporate office in Ohio.  They also own a lot of other brands like Kay Jeweler and Jared.  He asked if I have an account with them, asked if my name is so and so, and asked for the last four digits of my social security number.  I wasn’t sure if he is legit, so I called the customer service phone number on Key Jeweler’s website.  The person confirmed that this number is legit and it is their collection agency.  Apparently, they were trying to track down another person and they were calling people in the area with similar names.

I've been getting a phone call from these people every day for the past week and I also have my name on the Do Not Call list.  I also do not have a jeweler.  I will not call them.  If they are trying to track someone down, let them hire a private eye.

I'm getting phone calls on my answering machine everyday from this number.  I reported them to the Do Not Call List website last week but I'm still getting these calls.  Now for the past 3 days, I've been getting calls that when the answering machine picks up, loud music plays.  When I finally picked up the phone, the person on the other end asked for a Leslie.  I told them nobody lives here by that name and to please stop calling.  Two hours later, I got another call playing loud music so I picked up and before they could say anything, I told them AGAIN that a Leslie does not live here and to stop calling.  I'm willing to bet it's the same company.  I disconnected my answering machine since everybody who knows me calls me on my cell phone anyway.  The only solution to this is to change my home phone number.

I can verify that it is Kay Jewelers, my payment came back with invalid account and they started calling me.

this number is one of many numbers for k-jewlers, i get at least 3 calls from this jewler every day using a different number. i do not have a jewler and i am on the no call list. these people need to be investigated.

I keep getting calls from 1-800-743-8845. They call weekly and week-ends. I do not have a Jeweler and want them to stop calling.

I started getting calls from this number last week. It is very, very annoying!!! I had a Kay Jewelers account, but it has been paid off for almost 2 years! Why the hell are they calling me? I don't appreciate it.

If you owe Chase they will make calls to your house about 6-7 times a day. At times twice in thesame hour.

Kay Jewelers calls us 3 times a day. While my wife had neglectd to pay them in the past, we make their minimum 135 payment which we have been making for months. They still harass us daily sometimes 3 times trying to get MORE money. I have explained to them that they do not need to call, but they continue. I got sick of using expletives at them, so now I enjoy harassing them when they call me. My favorite is blasting loud heavy metal in the background while they try to talk to me and pretending i cant hear them, but i do also play a snippet of george costanza's nasally "risk management" pitch to drive em nuts.

This is kay jewelers..make sure you call them and take care of your account. could be a deadly mistake and ruin your credit score.

I returned a gold chain with in a 60 day period. Save your receipt.

Luckily I called, and cleared the return of merchandise before the 60 day period.

The representative stated, "sometimes our paper work is processed late, but after pulling up your Kay Jewelers account #, a note was sent to there supervisor, and you account was brought back to $0.00."

I do not know why I am getting these calls.  I do not owe Kay's Jewelers anything!

Wow, this company called my house after I had advised them they had the wrong number and to "do not call my house again" ..this is a violation of the FDCPA...also, the people working there that were calling were apparently in training or something.. they sounded like a bunch of idiots. Good thing I recorded the call so if they call again I have proof.

Bob, pay your bill...seriously..why would you log on and complain about them calling you because you have a past due account? Spend that time looking for a job instead....they call you because you are a debtor.

Got a call from 1-800-743-8845 and let it go to voicemail. I got half a message from them not explaining anything. I don't even have an account with Kay! I do have one with Osterman's that gets paid every month. Are they the same company? Even so, they have no reason to call since I know the account is paid. It's so annoying when they don't give you any info!!

This call was for the previous owner of my current cell number.

I have a Kay acount and actually got behind about 8 months ago, and they were really nice about working with me. I was over 60 days and did not get haraased, they called and I told them what was going on, and they worked with me and waited until the time I told them I would be getting monies to pay the bill and bring it to present. I just got online to pay it off, and that is how I came to see this web site by noticing the negative slur. I just wanted to respond because my experience with Kay Jewelers was great.

Any company that is on the "up and up", and has high integrity will give you all the info you need, it is probably some type of SCAMMERS that act like that.
