    I'm not their f'ing secretary
I just got a phone call from this number asking me to post a note on my neighbor's door from a "Jody Taylor"  I looked up this information, found out they are a collection agency.  I'm very annoyed.  First of all, I don't know my neighbors well enough to be posting notes on their door, especially from collection agencies.  I called them back and told them not to harass--I told them "I am not your damn secretary" and that I'm not going to do their work for them.  I also told them I am on a "do not call list".  There seems to be some violation of confidentiallity and seems harassing when they're telling people to post notes on their neighbors door.

This company keeps calling for a Diane.  I have a new cell phone number and over the course of the past several months I've received calls for 'Diane' on severtal occasions.  I do not mind letting the person know that I now have this cell phone number and do not know who Diane is.

However this number comes up once every two weeks.  I have repeatedly told this individual about my new cell phone and informed them that they have the wrong person.  On the 7th phone call received from 'them' I got a little impatient and again said for "the last time I've told you, take my number out of your database, this is no longer her phone number".  He hung up.

    Right...

So, two weeks later I received a voice mail from the same company and the same individual.  Mind you, my voicemail says.. "Hi, this is Dave".  Anyways, he again left his number for the 'urgent matter about speaking with diane', talking to my voicemail as if he were talking to a live person.  On and on about 'we were doing good and I just talked to you a month ago, what happened?'

Again, I lost it but I thought this time I would call them.  I spoke to some 'urgent matter' boy on the phone and told them my situation and said I have no idea who this Diane was and to please stop calling me.  He informed me that they would 'blackout' my number so that it would not happen again.  We'll see...

When I asked who this company I was speaking with was, he let me know that all he could disclose was that it was 'urgent' to speak with Diane and asked me if I knew her.  WOW.

When credit agency's harass the debtor, that once thing... but leave the mere bystander alone.

They called my friend's cell phone number asking for me.  She said they were extremely rude.  She told them they had the wrong number, and they asked her if she was my roommate.  She said no.  Then they gave her a phone number to ask me to call them back, without telling her what company they were with, or what the call was referring to.  That number was 800-752-3916, and the name they gave her was "Fred Cruz".

I just received my first call from 800-752-3916 to contact Lisa Brown.    I have 2 questions?  1.)No one knows the name of this credit agency?  Why is it assumed, it is a credit agency?

Does anyone know whether or not it is Legal for a company to Ping someone's credit while looking for one of their deadbeats?...I believe that this company may have done just that. It's one thing to aggravate the neighbors (that is easy to do via mapquest), but to contact a person that has been divorced from said deadbeat for 25 years & in NO Way affiliated with said person anymore, seems like a stretch to me...I am thinking the the company may be acting like Crooks to try & catch the crooks.

    DEAR IRRITATED:
TO LET YOU KNOW... AFTER YOUR DIVORCE, YOUR CREDIT IS NOW YOUR OWN.  ALL THE DEBT COLLECTION COMPANY CAN DO IS CALL YOU AND ASK FOR THE "DEAD BEAT" YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.  HOWEVER, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT (IF YOU WANT) TO TELL THIS COMPANY TO REMOVE YOU FROM THEIR CALLING LIST.  AND IF THEY KEEP BOTHERING YOU, YOU CAN GET THEM FOR HARASSMENT.  HOPE THIS HELPS!

They constantly call my cell phone even though I've told them time and again that I am not the person they're looking for. I'm not sure how they got my number, but I'm fed up with they're calls. If I don't answer, they leave a voicemail with the name "Allison" requesting that I return their calls. They are rude and often hang up on me before I can say anymore. They leave a return number of 800-752-3916.

They call everyone in your family or contact list provided on the credit app. They leave messages saying its an emergency and they need to contact me immediately. Never say they are a collector which is the true reason they are calling. Someone named Tracy Reed calls my mother whom is 85 and leaves messages that its an emergency.

This company called me yesterday asking me about my neighbor.  They said the name of the neighbor, confirmed their address.  They asked me if I could pass along a message that "Joan Patterson" neede to speak to my neighbor about personal business. I asked what it was regarding and they said it is private, please have my neighbor call 1-800-752-3916.  I think it stinks that a collection agency has to stoop so low.  I don't want to be involved in this crap.

They called my elderly neighbor and asked her to put a note on my door for someone who does not even live here anymore! And she doesn't know the difference between who lives here and who doesn't. The message said "Kathy McGee 800-752-3916 wants you to call her." How do they have any right to call my neighbor and leave messages like that anyway?

This company is going over the line. It uses a terror tactic. We have to start a lawsuit for the wasted time of our companies.  It is worse that a nuisance.  It causes us time.

"Lauren Webb" called looking for my next door neighbor.  She said that she needed to reach him, but no longer had a working number and asked me to take him a note.  No thanks.  If I did do your job for you, exactly how much would you be paying me, anyway?

I don't have caller ID, but the number that she told me to give my neighbor was 800-752-3916.

They call 2 - 3 times a day at all different hours. If no one answers they leave a message saying someone from this number must call them immediately.
If you answer, they ask who you are, try to "update" by getting your other phone numbers along with other personal info before they say they are a collection agcy. If you tell them don't call back they say fine, hangup and start calling again the next day, since you established a relationship with them by calling back.
