Called would not identify who they were

Trying to collect from some one not at our address and unknown to us.
Refused to indentify themselves beyond being a "private company in Illinois"
I have tried before to stop them from calling.

Called my neighbor to get a hold of me, unreal.

Calls leaves a message on my voice mail saying they from cbc and they are trying to collect a debt. I know who i owe. and i am in contact with all companies.

they called a neighbor to contact me, but they never called my number to contact me.   would not identify themselves with having personal information confirmed.  still don't know who they are.

Received a call from this number. The caller identified himself as Tyler Stewart and refused to identify his company or the reason for the call. He said he was legally forbidden to reveal this information.

Called for my dad, who does not live here. When I informed her that the man did not live at this number but he was my father, I'd take a message. She said he used me as a reference(lie..) and that she was unable to give me a reason for her call. I informed her I was then unable to give her another number to reach him at. She got mad and gave me this number as a call back.

Marilyn Harrison ext. 3476 called me to go to my neighbors house and give them a message to call her.  It is "very very important".  This sounded so suspicious so I asked if my neighbor knows her and Marilyn Harrison said my neighbor would recognize the number.  Yeah right. I suspect a collection agency.

CBC called my IN LAWS!! over and over asking for me and would never give any reason for it. my wife called them back and they would not talk to her.  I have never used my in laws (or my wife for that matter) as a reference, and have no past due accounts.  I googled the number and discovered all the other complaints and now have complained to the ftc.  the phone number was 1-800-756-8428.  with extension 3476, named Marilyn, call and ask for her see if she likes it.

Acting on a message my wife left me to call about "some paperwork," I called and spoke with someone named Gina. Gina began by asking what number I was calling from, and then to confirm my name. She then asked  if I was from Michigan (no), Alexandria (no), and then began asking for my middle initial. When I asked who she was and why she was calling, she said it was about one of numerous companies she was working with. She said she could not reveal details until she could confirm that I was the account holder, though she said "it's about your HSBC Mastercard." I have never banked with HSBC and don't have a Mastercard, so I suspect either a collection agency or identity theft outfit. When I insisted that I would not provide more information until she confirmed who she was working for, she promptly hung up on me.

The same people have been harassing me, they will call my place of work and annoy my bosses and secretary. I have told them to stop the calls and nothing. I even told them i would get fired if they didnt stop calling. Needless to say nothing has changed. I even had a guy call and chew my as* out because i wouldnt send them 300 dollars.
