i kept getting letters, I'm unemployed with 2 kids, used a friends cell phone (I have no phone can"t afford it)to conact them, to inform them of my financial situation, Katheleen Brooks said don"t you get assistance with all those kids you got? Told her no unemployment only, and would contact them when I found a job. Now my friend is being harrased by them on her phone. any suggestions?She has told them its her phone but that didn't help.

This company called my neighbor stating that I had used them as a reference. Harrassment has been taken to a new level! Are large companies & gov't agencies so hard up for $ that they would agree to harrass innocent people such as dt's friend (above) and my neighbor? It's nothing short of cold, dehumanizing evil! To make things worse, they haven't contacted ME about any loan & I have no clue the origination or how to fight.  I hope everyone from the company personnel responsible for hiring these fools to the scum that work for Progressive (& then can sleep at night!) find everything that Karma brings!

This company keeps calling me for a Patricia. I am not, nor ever have been Patricia. They've been harassing me for over a year and won't take no for an answer. They follow a pattern when they call. First a few calls and voice mails left by a computer, then a couple calls from a "secretary" sounding person. Finally they pull out the big guns and you have several calls from big gun in the company yelling at you over a voicemail to pay and call him back at a different number than he called you from and gives you an extension. They promise numerous times to remove your number from their list but never do. They are one call away from a harassment lawsuit.

I just got a call from this number, the first thing I heard was a message saying "This is an important message, if your are Carol ...something stay on the line"  Well, I'm not Carol so I hang up.

I have received the same voicemails as well. I have contacted them asked to be removed from their lists otherwise I will file a complaint with the FTC.. I too I'm getting these calls,plus calls from people saying they are taking a survey,so I bought a Panassonic cordless phone with call block,I love it,when ever I get one of these calls,I just put that number in call block,it is so easy.I'm probably driving them crazy !(since surveys say they aren't selling anything,being on the do not call list exempts them(they sell your number to everybody !!!! I'm 70 years old,and tired of anwering these calls.

I just told them off and blocked them..
They just don`t care if you have no job and apparently they forget they can also join the ranks of the un-employed..
Judging from the accentt,, maybe from India call centers??
Either way,, I don`t care anymore./

Got yet another call from this company even after they've been told twice they have the wrong number and to stop calling. Filed a complaint with the FTC. Anymore calls and I'll file with my state attorney generals office see how they like getting noticed that way. Some people may think going through these channels are not worth it but it is. The last debt collection company who was calling for the wrong person ended up sending me 2 apology letters with agreements not to call anymore. After I filed a FTC complaint and a complaint with my attorney generals office. However, the calls that are coming in now are for somene different.

They call the university for no one. never stat a name just givex the number to call back and when the office amanger did they just hung up on her.

They've never called any of my 4 lines in my name yet they keep calling my ex husband and tell him to call me. I looked them up and I don't know why they are harassing him when I don't owe.

5:38 PM 01/13/2015 another hang up received from 800-761-6097. More than likely a debt collector looking for a person that I don't know. For months I've told these callers I don't know the woman they ask for, but the callers must not have anything better to do since I recognize the same voice even though my caller ID shows different numbers. I have had the same number for 2+ years and the calls have been kind of constant for over one year. I can't change the number too easily without potentially losing customers. I guess I am lucky that I cannot find the physical address of these pukes because I would end up in jail after being convicted of felonious assault. Don't tell me to complain to the FTC. I once carried out a complaint as far as I could only to hear, well we can't do anything else.

They called asking for my wife, when I told him that I wont see her for a few days, he asked me to give the last 4 digits of her social and her date of birth. I said " not gonna happen buddy, good luck" and hung up

We keep getting a call at our office on the third line. We have an automated answering system. By the time it moves out to my desk, the first part of the call is cut off. It is a computer voice with a british accent asking for a name I can't understand (only 4 people work here - and its none of our names). It calls 2 or 3 times a day. Today I called them. After sitting on hold for a few minutes waiting for a 'representative', a man picks up with "this call is being recorded for security purposes, may I have your social security  number". Red flag. Any legit company only asks for the last 4 digits because they just need to verify what they already know. I explained the situation to him. I hear typing. He claims he can't find this phone number in the database. He asks for the main number. I say, "that number doesn't matter - there are no other calls happening when your calls come in, so I know its not being bounced to line 3 from another line". He promises to research the number and tag us for the do not call list. We'll see what happens.

Called my cell phone - a phone number I do not use for anything but personal calls.  How they got it I have no clue.  I did not answer and I don't have my voice mail box set up.

i would be filing a harassment suit at this point- next time this starts- record them. record you telling them that you are recording them. record them calling you again and getting rude with you.
