Calling from Deversify Consultants.
Unknown annoying call

received message on cell from Megan stating it was very important and I  may or may not know what it was regaurding but that I should contact her office with in 24 hrs of message
She stated in her message that she was calling from BCI 800-771-5361

This people are calling my house at least once a week, saying that they are BCI  OR DCI not shure,  but they are very strange, they are calling my wife with a wrong 1st name, only telemarketing co do that, they said not to be a telemarketing Co.  But they don't tell the nature of their business either.,  They tell me that teir number is 800-771-5361 x 1292  But my caller ID is showing 9042475500

Someone called my number looking for someone else.  The caller ID was 904-247-5500, which is DIVERSIFIED CONSULTANTS INC, a collection agency in Jacksonville, FL.  The person left the name Dave and (800) 771-5361.

I have also received the call from 904-247-5550 earlier this morning but it was unknown # so I never answered nor they left the message. I guess this rant will continue for few days.

i called DCI and they were the nicest and most helpfull bill collectors i have ever dealt with, they helped me pay my unpaid past due bill that i owed and had no excuse to be late for, they also helped me understand the importance of paying my bills on time and not fooling myself that that it is my fault my bill is in collections not the nice collection agancy who helped me do the right thing.

I have the same called for the last two days, they spelled my name wrong as well, but the extention is 1253, who are these people? Anyone knows?

I am a receptionist and get calls for employees from these people.  I have told them time and time again not to call our company because our employees are not allowed to take personal calls. They still call and one guy his ext. is 1315 got really smart with me and said well did you give him my message and then he starting yelling at me, I ASKED YOU A QUESTION.  I could not believe it.  I hung up on him.

I had a disputed "debt" removed from my credit report. The collection company that lost the dispute sold the debt to Diversified Consultants, another collection agency. The phone calls and threats are starting all over again. I called the number and the extention left on my voicemail and tried to tell the representative all of this. All they want is money, which I figured would be the result of the call. The conversation went in circles and the rep hung up on me. I have since filed a complaint w/ the Better Business Bureau (http://welcome.bbb.org/) about all this. We will see if they can help.

Yes, we're a collection agency. No we're not telemarketers. We're calling because someone owes a bill. If we have the wrong number, let us know. If you choose not to, then it's your own fault we're calling. We will continue to call until it's paid. It's that simple. Pay your bill!!!

Oh yeah and Stacey, we don't buy debt. It still belongs to your creditor. PAY YOUR BILL!!!!

And maybe some day, when I'm not working for the collectors, I'll learn to read and write at a 5th grade level, and even learn how to use periods, commas, and the shift key.  On the other hand, maybe I'll stay as semi-literate as I am now, as that's no impediment to my job as a collector.

Not sure what you mean..

You do not have to be harassed by creditors.  If they say anything obscene and continue to call you after you have to them not to, they are breaking the law.  Do a web search on Debt Collectors Harassment and find an attorney who will represent you.  You can sue them for harassment and they will be fined.

And I assume due to your very wise legal advice you must be an attorney. Also, when you're doing your search, look for how to stop us from calling. Send a cease and desist letter to us, then the calls will stop.

Message left on my unlisted home phone (woman's voice):

"Hello.  This message is for [name of someone I have never heard of].  My name is Chelsea Bailey. I just need to touch base with you regarding a small issue in the office.  It's [mumble].  However, I do have a toll-free number you can reach me at whenever you have an available moment.  The number is 1-800-771-5361-x1119.  I look forward to speaking with you soon and you have a great day.  Thank you."

According to this website, this call actually originated from Diversified Consultants, Inc. (DCI), which is apparently a collections agency.  I received this call soon after I moved and changed my phone number, so this caller may have been trying to harrass someone who previously was assigned that number.
