- JohnReceived junk mail by snail mail. I've been receiving calls and junk mail the last few weeks since I purchased my vehicle. All fraudulently imply that my warranty is about to expire, which is completely false. I suspect that in a few days, they will discard this particular 800 number and send out mailings with a different number.
There must be some means by which they are privy to credit information to know about car purchases - and to connect my unlisted telephone numbers with my car purchase.
So, apparently I cannot have privacy, but the companies I deal with are free to make money by selling my personal information.- Caller: auto Warranty
- Mickey - St Louis MoIt's useless to request to be removed from their mailing list. The more you complain the more notices you receive. Also, calls to them are probably being fowarded to another #. Companies like think have been known to defraud.
Give them absolutely no informationm- Caller: warranty information service center
- athenaThey keep calling day after day, as well sending junk mail even urgent notice that my car warranty is abotu to expire and so on. I finally call, the rude person almost hung on me when i refuse to give up my phone # and to verify my name, she told me the she has not time for that. I try againg diferent person pick the call and told me the my car is under no warranty,, I say to her that was incorrect, then she hung on me.
- Rosey123I got a letter in the mail from these people, I new it was crap since I just bought my car a month ago and had warrenty left on my car plus an extended warrenty, but I called andways. When the person answered I aske for Cindy Marshal the warrenty manager since she was the one who sent me the letter, he said that's the branch manager. So I said I would like to talk to her, he then insisted on him helping me. After verifying account info and telling me my warreny was up, I then told him no I just got my card info in the mail. Then he said is it a powertrain warrenty, I said yes he said do you even know what a powertrain warrenty is I said yes, he said go read your warrenty card and hung up on me. If there going to scam people atleast they could use some good customer service skills.

- Mr.RmonI got a letter stating my car warranty was up, I knew this was fraud from the cheap urgent text, I called the number to and a woman who had no customer service skills answered...and argued with me for the account number, I then hung up on her - I googled the number and found nothing, so I decided to google the return address which was po box 15190 Plantation FL 33318, this brought up GE Wireless

- Mr.Rmonadditional information -- I called this number back, no one answered I got a Voice message from a CELL phone saying "you have been forwarded to voice mail box 954-318-1151 the mail box is full"
Somehow this 800 number is being sent to a personal voice mail!!! How can we report these creeps! - ChipSame harassing phone calls and snail mail as everyone else. They refer to themselves as "Extended Auto Warranty". Please, everyone, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/complaintlink.aspx using the return address on the snail mail (P.O Box 15190, Plantation FL, 33318) and the phone number 800-771-7251.

- ChipMore info. I found this article (http://www.ct.gov/ag/cwp/view.asp?A=2795&Q=411422) about the Attorney General of Connecticut leading a 20-state inquiry into some of these companies, including one named "Automotive Warranty Advisors" in Florida. I wonder if that's who's behind these solicitations that come from FL. Here is their web site: http://www.awadvisors.net/ . They list different contact info that what I've received, but they may have multiple contact numbers. I looked up information on who hosts their web site, and email address for the technical contact is "jcross@zps1.com". Now, zps1.com appears be defunct now, but google indicates that it was run out of St. Louis, the SAME area from which many other auto warranty scams originated.

- EricaI recieved a letter in the mail to contact about my warranty being expired. I purchased a bumper to bumper warranty on my car that I just purchased that is for 5 years. I nicely explained that to the "customer service rep" and he became very rude and asked Why did you call then. I told him Well [***] you and hung up. I know that this is against the law. Something needs to be done.
- NAI have never gottena call from then but I keep receiving letters from them so I called and requested that the lady I got tell me where she got my husband and I's information for our cars. We just bought our cars from other people and so I assume it was either from the DMV or insurance company because these are the only two people that know that we have the cars. Anyway, as soon as I asked the lady instantly said oh hold on. Then Cindy Marshall got on the phone and I asked the same question. she told me that was public information and that everyone has access to it if you buy it at the dealership. I informed her that neither of our cars were bought at a dealership. She choose to ignore that comment and went on interigating me. Either way, then I told her that I was not interested and that I appreciated her help. She WAS SOOOO INSISTANT and said before you go you NEED to give me your year and mileage on your car. I said well I don't know what exactly my mileage is right now (which of course I had an idea but like I already said...I'm not interested). So she then said ok well I'll put myself on hold and you go look. I could not even believe that so I said ok. Then I HUNG UP!!!!!!!!! These people are CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! and extremely untrusting.

- Mr. Bill WVI have had numerous calls from Warranty Service Center. I signed up on the first call on the phone because the female who called lied to me and told me that my KIA warranty wasn't any good. I had 3 years left on it at the time of the call. I phoned KIA and they told me that the warranty was good for three years. I phoned and canceled. They continued to phone me even after I told them to put me on there no call list which they have not. I Tell them each time not to phone me and they say they will not but continue to do so. I have been reduced to giving the caller a raspberry or I pretend to be interested then when the go in for the kill I hang up. I recommend using the strategy.

You would not believe that they are all under the same company. I have received 4 post cards with different mailing addresses. When I called back they told me they were nationwide some crap like that. I urge each and everyone of you to call the local news stations where these companies are located at blast them. Not only that google these companies names and read the news articles about there horrible practices "Who Wants to Know".
They have pissed me off!!! - MI don't think I've gotten any calls yet. I only have a cell phone and if I don't know the number I don't answer. I figure if it's important they'll leave a message. However I don't ever want to get these calls and I have recieved their stupid letter. What a [***] trap I mean anyone who actually believes this letter is real deserves to be screwed I think. But everyone makes mistakes I just don't want whoever is doing this to be able to continue. And I would like to find out who the hell sold my personal information to this [***]. They didn't even get my name in the right order. But they have my address. Creepy...
- nibzI checked out the internet registry for GEWIRELESS.NET. It's a domain purchased on GoDaddy resellers. The WHOIS information gives more Plantation FL addresses but the website itself resides on a GoDaddy server in Phoenix AZ. Not all that unusual. The trick is catching the client IP logging into the domain admin at GoDaddy. Then the admin (owner of the website) can be traced (assuming he/she isn't using a wifi laptop at some overnight stop somewhere).
I got the letter. I get the phone calls. This is comepletely fraudulent and I intend to send the physical (mailed) material to the FTC for a fraud investigation and notify my state attorney general. I'm also notifying my military legal department.
These [***] are going to fry. I encourage each of you to ensure you contact your appropriate authorities as well, and if you receive snail mail please send the materials in to the Federal Trade Commission. You can register a complaint with them via the following webpage:
