- barbarai was not called; however, had a debit to checking account on 3/8 from Nuf Nuf ins at this number. called them and got ridiculous, repetitious, rude answers from agent and then her supervisor. never authorized, not an open account number beside their name on the charge! am going to bank to give info to them and will contact the Florida insurance commissioner as the address they gave for stopping further debits was in Florida. Spent 45 minutes on phone with these crooks and never got straight answers. Fraud fraud fraud.
- NOT INTERESTED| 1 replyGot a BILL, not a phone call, no less from a National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburg, PA, PO Box 44260, Jacksonville, FL 32231-9905. Don't have a policy with them, never did, never will. I feel it is a DEBT collection agency called NCO trying their very best to try and verify information/whatever, on a debt that has been paid in full YEARS AGO!!!!
New ploy to get you to call and ask WTF? Then they have your phone number, your billing address verified and OH YEAH - since you contacted them regarding a "delinquent debt" the statue of limitations starts ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!!
MFs...all I got to say.- Caller: NCO/National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburg, PA out of Jacksonville
- girl in texasIts real... I have a policy with them that I set up when I was out of college... too old to still be on my parents insurance... not able to get a job with health insurance benefits... decided that atleast the acidental insurance would help if I got hit by a proverbial bus... I recall that it was set up through one of my credit cards which is why others may think it was a debt collector (BTW take responsibility and pay your debts!) They didn't call me I was trying to remember the name of the company so I looked online.
- SID replies to NOT INTERESTEDNo no no. If you get this letter saying that you already have a policy, please pursue it. I AM 100% SERIOUS. Even if you don't call in to NUF, forward the letter to your local Attorney General OR to the State Insurance Commission. I got this same letter and ended up being refunded almost $1500 in fees I had unsuspectingly been paying this company via an unauthorized charge on my mortgage statement -- MONTHLY for 8 long years. If it had been on my bank statement, I would have noticed and questioned it long ago. But my mortgage was on auto-pilot and I never looked at monthly statements. NUF claims that i verbally agreed to this policy over the phone in 2006 (though I suspect they have absolutely no proof of that, which is why they refunded every cent they took from me, with the merest hint of pressure). All we did was forward the letter to our local Attorney General saying that something about this company seemed fishy and that we had no knowledge of a policy with them. The AG sent two letters. They got one back from AIG/NUF saying they would "look into the matter" and next thing I knew I was getting a check for nearly $1500. Please -- even if you think you couldn't possibly have a policy with this company -- check it out, or let your local AG check it out for you. It's quite possible they have been charging you without your knowledge (or agreement) and you are owed money. If we all pursue them, this game of chance they play will become far less lucrative for them and maybe they will finally stop. In my case, I had refinanced my mortgage, which meant the policy no longer had a "host" for its charges. So they contacted me directly for payment. Otherwise, this probably would have gone on for the full 30 years of the mortgage and I would never have been the wiser.
- Rob in OhioI found an auto deduction on my checking account statement from NUF INS with the number 800-781-8379 after it. I called and they identified themselves as AIG Insurance and said I had a supplemental insurance policy with them through my mortgage. After I paid off my house, they started auto deducting from my checking account. I don't remember agreeing to the policy that they said I've had since 2007. I never saw any information in the mail or on my mortgage statement about this and never made a claim. They are supposed to send me info on the policy in the mail and said that I can make retroactive claims to get some of my money back. I will try to get money back then will drop them like a bad habit.
- Caller: AIG Insurance
- TonyBeware of this company. They are predators of the elderly. My dad had strokes in 2008 and for some reason this company decided to take out 2 accidental insurance policies. Not 1 but 2 policies. Unreal
- CharleneJust had this pop up as an auto pay on my checking account. Thankfully husband caught it and I researched it online and found these posts. They did not call me or talk with me -- I have spam caller apps on my phone which alert me to these types of calls and I never answer a number I don't know. I feel that if someone is legit they will leave a voicemail.
- Desperate| 1 replyI called them as well and this guy John said he would look into it and for me to hold on and never came back to the phone. Also called my bank they couldn’t tell me anything, but this is automatically being taken from my account. What else can be done?
- Caller: None I called
- BigA replies to DesperateYour bank should have informed you of what you need to do. You actually should already know since they gave you an agreement with dispute instructions on in when you opened the account up, something that you should have read and kept.
