wheres - 10 May 2007I bet its a telemarketing scam that has people call somehow stolen or intercepted nubers to see if the number is good. If it is then they compile a list and sell them to other telemarketing firms. Very easy to lose your number to these people by putting it on any internet websites.

TOM - 19 Nov 2007I called this number back and it was Education Advance. They got my number from me filling out survey on internet. Never again will I do that. Apparently its a rent a number for a set period of time because it appears that the same number is being used for different marketing groups

Samantha - 22 Jul 2008I got the education call, too. When I answered, the guy said they got my number because I filled out something saying I was interested in going to college. I told him I was already in college, and he immediately thanked me for my time and said goodbye. Now I'm getting calls from different numbers (mostly 828-8471) where no one says anything when I answer. I wonder if they realize how awesome it is and how much we all love this...

Connie - 14 Feb 2008Got a call , Called back, and "operator" said it was a "online schooling" offer,I made sure they removed my number, guy was rather polite about it and said No problem , now lets see what happens,

Andrew PIGTOWN - 4 Jun 2008Hey has anyone signed up with Tagged as of late? I think that is the link with all of the calls. I just signed up about 4, 5 min ago and got a call right after. So that might be the link. Tagged is a site sort of like Face Book or My space so if you signed up with anything like those and added you phone # then that is what is causing the calls from 800-793-0282.

found the culprit - 27 Jun 2008i called the number back and actually got a human! They got my number from facebook, and it IS from an online education recruiter.
