- Roberta EwingCalling my employer threatening to have the Sheriff after me. Says he is from Wells Fargo
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Call type: Debt collector
- William Ramer| 1 replyCaller stated I owed almost $1800.00 on a credit card that is now in collection. He also said the credit card was opened in 2003 and had charges up until 2008. I told him I never had a credit card during that time period. He told me a judge would side with them in court and I should just settle the bill. I told him I am not paying a bill that is not mine and there are laws to protect against identity theft. He then proceeded to try and scare me into settling the debt by telling me he would put liens on my property etc. I checked my credit report and discovered all my accounts are in good standing which leads me to believe this call is a scam.

- Denise M| 1 replyCalled and said they were AAA resolution center and client was Wells Fargo. Said I had a loan and didn"t pay it back-considered a hot check. And, was from 2006. Said that they would contact the Federal Banking Commission to withhold my social security benefits for 6 months. Believe they are trying to scam me.

- Badge714 replies to Denise MThey are. But, while we're here. Exactly how is one's benefits withheld without due process? A 'hot check'? Did it just pop out of the toaster? I was sure that was strudel. As always, someone says you owe money - send me proof in the mail. That's US Mail. Not fax, text, or email. US Mail. But they won't, because they're calling from Asia, & faking the phone number. Next time they call, ask them how's the weather in Mumbai (India)?
- BobReceived a call from this number stating they are an attorney and a claim for the the owner of this number (my number - stated just that, my name or nobody elses ever mentioned) has been filed against the owner of this number. I was given an option to press 1 or 0. When I get automated calls, I never press numbers fearing fees that could arise by doing so (based on previous scams I've read).
- stephanie johnsonThey have called me only during my payday cycle with intimidating stuff such as a docket no. and saying that I owe them they can't tell me who the creditor is i paid them.

- Ms. StJohnI have received numerous calls pertaining to an internet loan that I suposedly took out back in 2012. I have never taken out a loan but they continue to call me stating they are from American Arbitration and that the judge will side with them. I continually ask for documentation in the mail and have never received any. They even stated they were going to send out someone to have m sign for a certified letter and never showed up. They even called me back and proceeded to yell at me over the phone stating they would send me information AFTER I paid them over the phone. They have called me and called me even sayig that "I have been notified" I am so tired of these calls and scams I could scream. Be aware of these people.
