Received a call from Tim.  When called back, Tim was on the phone and then Kimberly said he would call me back again.  He did call me back with information about me.  This call was to schedule a tour of the Lakewood Village Resort camp ground and also an entry in the contest for either a car or $20K.

Ok, so I called back the 1-937-393-3775 ext. 119 and talked to Kimberly again and asked for a website so I could review information. I was told they do have a website, but it's not up and running as of yet. If I had 5 minutes of my time they would be happy to go over all the information about Lakewood Village Resorts with me. I said, "No thanks," and hung up. Apparently my mother-in-law had the same phone call like 19 years ago and went. They had to drive like 50+miles to get there. When they got there, it was a building with posters and brochures about the Resort that contacted tem, along with a mini-model of the resort. They informed them that they did not win the car, but did win some other prize. Problem tho, they were currently all out of prizes and would mail them to her. After one or two weeks my mother-in-law called back to no avail, and after the forth attempt to contact them, the phone number had been disconnected. So needless to say, I believe this is a scam. Sucks too, because my wife and I could really have used a new car. What a shame...

On Wednesday, August 4th, 2010, 10:30 am,EST, Janelle called from 1-800-799-5871, ext. 113 to report that I had filled out an entry form from Lakewood Village and that I was in the next round for a prize of $15,000 dollars or a new car. I had not filled out a form for prizes so I Googled Lakewood Village and found this website. A Scam is what it is!

I recieved a second call at work the same day but did not accept the call. I mentioned the call to my wife that evening and she also had recieved a call from Janelle at her work phone number. She works at a hopital with hundreds of phone numbers in operation so how they got both of our work phone numbers I can't imagine!

I received 2 calls with messages left from this phone number.  I called back and got the same yada  yada yada about I won this car.  She said by showing up to tour the resort, you would win 2 of 5 prizes automatically.  The prizes were:
    1. a gift certificate to WalMart or Red Lobster (unknown amount)
    2. An IPOD Touch
    3. A 500$ gift card
    4. A 42" LCD tv
    5. A Vacation or Cruise coupon.

I'm guessing that you go and get a 10$ coupon to Red Lobster and a coupon to visit their [***] resort.  Needless to say it's funny to now know the scam behind the cars you always see sitting in the Mall.  This was at a mall in Toledo OH btw.

Received a call yesterday saying someon by not my name won something at Lakewood Village Award Center and to call this number back x-120 Janis.  I didn't and received another call today as though they were disgusted with me for not returning the call.  I called and got her answering machine and I told her that whoever she was trying to reach wasn't my name and please remove me from her list.  I haven't heard back so I am guessing she got the message.  Thanks to all your posts I was suspicious.

I just recieved the same call something told me to look this up on the web and to my surprise its a scam its  a shame that this is located in the malls thats where I filled out my forms so the mall should investigate this scam also and be responsible for elderly people getting scamed from the forms they keep in the mall.

I received the same phone call last night (5-9-11) from a lady named Janice.
From phone # 1-800-799-5871.  They left a message and said that I was a chosen finalist in the "If the Key Fits Drive It", from an entry form I apparently  filled out back in January.  They said they were from Lakewood Village Resort Reward and to call back for more info at the above # and extension #120 M-Thursday from 1:00pm - 7:30pm.

I am always leary of phone calls like this and the first thing I do is google the information.  When I googled just the "Lakewood Village Resort Reward"  all I kept hitting on was a campground or some type of resort.  But when I googled the above phone # I got this site and boy am I glad that I did cause just as I suspected, this is a SCAM!  Ugh.  Thanks to whoever posted this to warn people.  Do not call back cause you will waste your time and you will never get it back! :)

I had received a call from Sherry (937-393-3679) and she said I won a prize for either a 42 inch TV, 500 dollars, getaway for two, or a gift card to Red Lobster. I thought I won something great.....I wanted to know more about this so I googled the #... I was shocked when I got this site...Thanks because I was going to waste my time and gasssssssss just to be scammed!!!!! Quick note to anyone who gets these calls, there is a website you all should look up it tells you how and what scammers are using against you to get info..WWW.PHISHINGSITES.COM or google "PHISHING" scams even numbers to business that are very familiar to you..(the biggest one thats going around is Chase Bank and 5/3 and Bank of America) so be very careful and always remember if it's too good to be true then it is, and don't give anything to them call the business back.

Thanks to all for posting on this, I just received the same call and was pumped, but knew it was too good to be true, so I googled.

They had one of those things in the center of a mall with a dodge charger, I usually never fill out that crap, but that car made me do it. :) Never again.

My husband received a call from these same people claiming he was a finalist as well and had the options of Brandip above. He'd filled out a form at the Dayton Mall when they had a jungle gym hey were "giving away". Looks like they are up to the same old crap. I hate when people pray on innocent people. Thank you for this site!

Yes indeed..I was contacted last week 2-10-2012 claiming I was a finalist in a car give-away at Glenbrook Mall Fort Wayne, In.  I spoke to a gal by the name of Sherry were she asked a few questions and said they were going to be mailing me a packet of Imfo I needed to bring with me on my scheduled apt. Excited as we all were... I waited. And waited..and..yep waited. Here it is the day before my apt. and no packet! So I looked it up on the internet and found all of you!!! I did find a local number not a 1-800# that I did call and actually got to talk to a live person! She said oh don't worry come anyways and WE WILL HAVE A PACKET HERE WAITING FOR YOU!!...Just bring two forms of ID when you come...I have printed the multiple of complaints to take with me when I go and I will just see what they want to say then...Wish me LUCK!!!
