NCO Financial Systems Incorporated...No idea who for or for what.  Automated message left no particulars -- just says debt collection agency.  I'm not inclined to call any number i'm not familiar with.

I got this call maybe 4 or 5 times in the past 2 weeks. I never pick up unknown numbers so they leave the same voice mail over and over again.

'NMCO - law requires: attempt to collect a Debt collection company.  or something with those words.

I've received too many calls from this number, but I'm sure they don't have any information about me, they just leave an automated message with a confirmation number to call them. This is really annoying me.

same problem here -- for weeks now, and same automated message with a phone nr that is always busy 1-800-810-0590. I have no debts to pay and I am on "NO CALL" list for NYS. not sure where to complain about it, i guess i should start with my phone company.

Here's info on the company that's harrassing you: http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/nco_financial_systems.htm

The phone company is a good start, but these courses have a bit more bite to them:

    1) File a complaint online with the Federal Trade Commission at https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

    2) File a complaint with your state's attorney general. The contact information for each state's attorney general is at www.naag.org  Just scroll down to the national map graphic and click on your state.

    3) Send NCO a letter directing them to cease all communication with you and warning them that you'll pursue every applicable legal sanction against them in federal court if they fail to comply.  Just be sure to mail it via *certified* US Mail with a return receipt request, and save a copy of your letter.  If they contact you more than once after receiving your cease-communication letter, then they are breaking the law and subject to monetary damages paid to you for each violation. (And be prepared to lower the boom on them in court if they fail to comply with your cease-communication notice. There are plenty of consumer law attorneys who work on contingency in such matters; see the links below for attorney referrals.)

    4) Check out these websites for more information on protecting yourself against outlaw debt collectors and, if need be, suing them:

I knew about some of the recourse you mentioned however wasn't exactly sure how to go about it.  I greatly appreciate your advice and the list of sources available to us.  Thanks...

MCO Financial Sytems, the law requires us to tell you that this is a ...

I think you know the rest!  I also think that this a scam of some sort, maybe by calling them your phone is charged, even though it is an 800 number.

I received the same message from NCO but the thing is, I'm underage. There's no bills I have to pay and I do not have a credit or debit card. I'm worried if they'll start harassing me. What should I do?

same as others..only no one on other end when answered. called company at 800-220-2274 and got transferred 4 times while complaining. when the 4th person got on phone i asked if i was going to be transferred for the 5th time...was told no. so i again complained about them calling my cell, leaving no message or talking when answered. told them they are wasting my minutes and wanted it stopped. when i gave them my cell number they asked if i was someone else! told them no. and didn't know them either. and the calls had better stop. i heard her do some typing then asked if i was going to get another call from them. she informed me that the account was corrected and the number removed from the system.

then i emailed them to express my desire to have them stop calling my cell for someone i wasn't or didn't know.

we'll see if this stops them! if not...i'll be filing a complaint with my attorney general and fcc and bbb and anyone else i can think of!

    they're scum!!!
