- Mel| 2 repliesI got a call from this number as well it say's they are bank of america truing to collect a debt....I called the number on the back of my card and they assured me it wasn't them checked all accounts and everything is paid and up too date. Do not give out your social or any personal information if you aren't sure then call the number on the back of your card and verify if there is indeed an issue. Then at least you can be assured your information is safe and you are not being scammed!

- Barbara| 1 replyWe have received NUMEROUS calls from this number. They wanted to talk to my husband's previous wife (deceased for 3 years now). I told them she was deceased and said can I help you? They wanted me to verify hubby's SSN and I told them I didn't know it. They called again and again and again, and I repeatedly told them the same information and to please stop calling, take our number off your list. They called again and again and again... ny husband answered one day and told them the same thing... he is not giving personal info over the phone, stop calling here. also told them if it was that important, send him a letter!!!! They have called again and again and again. I swear it is no less than 40 times in three weeks!!!! I have refrained from cussing at them but am getting close. Don't want to lower my standards but enough is enough!!!!
- Caller: Allegedly Bank of America
- JJensenThese people have been calling incessantly. They have been advised I would report them if they continued - they call as many 8 times a day.
- Caller: Loan Processing Center
- Call type: Debt collector
- NancyThey have been calling for one week, asking for a Social Security #. I blocked them on my cell phone. Now, they are on my land line. AT & T has an Annoying Call Center 1-800-769-4099 that is open during regular business hours.
- NancyWe are continuing to get calls. Later today, I received a call from Privacy Manager. I suspect this is all part of the same scam.
- rogerCalls over and over, leaves no message. Today I decided to answer and a Lazar asked for me by name. When I asked who was calling, he said he was from Bank of America and was calling about a debt because we are BOA customers. I asked what debt this was about and he said he couldn't tell me unless I verified my social and address. I told him he was a fake and he starting yelling at me to call the BOA number to verify he's legit or go to my local branch and then hung up on it. What a joke !
- Brenda6 times today asking for my husband and won't leave a message. I said if they have called 6 times, they obviously need to tell him something. Last call was at 8:45 pm and the guy apologized but said he has no control over the auto dial feature. Since they wouldn't leave a message I am not certain if it was BOA, but we do have a relationship with them.....Hmmmm
- DianaThey keep callin us but we are not late on our mortgage. They now will only ask for my husband because I chew them out everytime i talk to them. We recieve 2 statements a moth for our house payment and we are not late. They are trying to scare us into refinancing because they are not making enough off of us. The are total asholes and are just trying to scare us.....so we scare them back...our mortgage is actully owned by Fredie Mac, so B of A can NOT legally forclose on us if we were behind....which we are not.
- Caller: BofA dept collecter
- Call type: Debt collector
- JuniperOh my GOD! When will they stop!!! All day long! Freaking scammers!!! They're trying to get your info.
- BobThis people have called 12 times in the last 2 days & will not leave a message. Glad I looked on this site to see that they are phonies & trying to scam you. Stay away! B of Am does not operate like this!
- Caller: 1-800-811-9379
- Chris replies to BarbaraHi. I've been receiving the same call every single day at work from this number. The next time they call, just tell them to "Hold on, please" ... and then walk away from your phone. Just leave it off the hook for awhile until they hang up. And keep doing it until they stop calling you for good!
- BarbSame as all the others. If it is BOA I have no doings at all with them, so I know it is a scam. It bothers me that it is an 800 number, but like all the others I don't answer numbers I do not know. They have been calling for over 2 months now and the calls are getting later and later. Last one the other night was 8:45, so they are pushing the limits. I have the number blocked also. In the beginning if it was that important they should have left a message or send a letter!
- Caller: Unavailable
- kgmI ust got the third call from this number in 2 days. Claiming to be from Bank of America to talk to me about a personal business matter. They asked for me by name but asked me to verify address and SSN. I refused and they told me there were calling from a number that is actually a BOA number but that is not what was on the caller id, I checked with BOA and they told me to report the number to their abuse line. When i told the latest caller that she got very upset saying that this was not an abuse number. and that i could go into my branch and have them call the number, It is definitely a scam
- Caller: Bank of america - supposedly
- jayBRepeated calls regarding a trust acct.I gave no information. Who does one contact to stop it??
- Caller: Bank of America
- GATThey claim to be Bank of America and wish to verify your name at your phone number. Then they want your last 4 S.S. digits and you home address. I suspect this is related to the recent Target theft of credit information and subsequent sale of your personal information. I further suspect that 'they" are now trying to gather further information to steal identities. Is the name they are looking for always the registered owner of the phone line - which would mean they already have your address?
