- angry at being used| 2 repliesThis individual called me attempting to get me to deliver a message to my neighbors on a pretext my neighbor’s answering machine was broken. The individual (presumably Mark Mitchell with Regional Adjustment Bureau) asked for me to deliver the message to my neighbor and ask them to call 1 800 668 5715 (of course the real goal was probably to gain information on my neighbor). Of course Mark failed to mention he was with a collection agency. I even doubt “Mark” is his real name but probably some fictional personal because when I called to complain about Mark calling me in the first place by calling back the number, there was some confusion at the switchboard while they attempted to pump me for additional information.

- tiredofharrassment| 2 repliesthis number calls and hangs up for months now, if you get to answer it, a recording tells you to hold for important information and that this is not a sales call, this repeats dozens of times then some rude person answers and immediately says she has dialed the wrong number then hangs up before you can respond. If you call the number back some rude and VERY STUPID acting person tells you that they are not calling you and WILL NOT identify what business they are. One time when I called the number back the guy's excuse was his computer equipment was having trouble and it shouldnt have called me, but they NEVER quit calling.
- Caller: who knows, they will not tell you
- SLL replies to angry at being usedI had the same thing happen, they called me and tried to get me to give their number to my neighbor...saying it was "important and urgent" but did not state their business. I was suspicious of this and was surely NOT going to go bug a neighbor I don't even know! I don't like the fact that they are looking at public records to find a neighbor of the person they are attempting to contact and then calling that neighbor to be an accessory to their actions...despicable!!
- Aubrey| 1 replyThey have been calling my phone for months now trying to get ahold of my ex boyfriend for money that he ows them from a college, I asked them to take my number off today and she cussed me out saying that she needs another [***] number before she can do that and then asked for his parents number and I said that I have no idea who his parents are and I don't have their number and she said that it was hard to believe then after I got done yelling at her for being unprofessional about it she hung up on me.

- gail replies to stevodoes anyone know who this company is??
They called me asked if it was my household and asked me about my neighbor, when i called back, the [***] was really rude and claimed that my phone was breaking up and she couldnt understand me... - Nikki| 1 replyI have been getting calls from there for a long time now. They are extremely rude and they are trying to collect on student loans they claim are in default from a company that I have personally contacted and my loans are not in default. I even asked them for their fax number because they claimed "the burden of proof is on me" and I faxed them a paper I had my student loan company mail me. After I faxed the lady didn't call back for a month and then they started calling again. They said it was a different loan. Then I told the lady that all my student loans were on the sheet I faxed her and she kept saying that "the burden of proof was on me". Then she told me in a very rude tone to have a nice day. They stopped calling for a while and then started up again. Got a call tonight and they have started calling my mom, the lady would not let me finish a scentence when I tried to explain that I had faxed proof that this was not a valid claim and she rattled off my social security number to prove that it was me and the claim was legitimate. After I told her again that I faxed information and contacted the loan company directly she hung up on me mid scentance.
I wonder if they are even a real collection company or a fraud company?- Caller: Not Known

I've also had calls saying if I don't cooperate with them that they will garnish my taxes and wages. they have even called from the exact same number claiming that they where from Texas Guaranteed.
I have been in contact with my lender,my school and the Texas Attorney General and all say my account is fine. this company is involved in countless legal actions against them.

- Thelumberwagon| 3 repliesI've been getting calls from them for a while too. They are looking for someone with the same last name as mine but apparently lives up the street based on the address they try to confirm. I've let them know they are barking up the wrong tree but that doesn't seem to matter to them. It's rather suspicious and concerning that someone with the authority to mess with someone's credit is so inept at record keeping. According to the BBB they are compliant but I find that hard to believe. They won't leave a message either which tells me that what ever business they have with me must not be very important. In short, if they have legitimate business with anyone, they would graciously speak with you and not used inappropriate language. The FTC's Fair Debt Collection Act also specifies that they CANNOT Harrass, Opress or use abusive language in an attempt to collect any debt. So.....either don't answer it when they call or politely hang up on them.
Here are a few alternate numbers that the BBB of Memphis has provided for this company.

- ScottYeah they've called my cell phone like 9 times today. Never leave a message, and then when I call them back they think I'm some other person and act all huffy when I firmly tell them that isn't me. You know for a company that supposedly does this for a living they sure get a lot of incorrect people mixed up in this. I wish you could call phone companies and have these numbers blocked or something.

- JamesThese people want me to give them personal information. They won't tell me why they are calling "until you validate yourself" I'm not telling them a damn thing, they called me! How can you tell them to leave you alone when you don't even know why they are calling. I told the lady that I would never give her the information she wants, she then wanted me to verify my address... A P.O. box that she insisted is "Where you live!" Who lives in a P.O. Box? I told her she was calling my cell phone and if she wasn't going to tell me why shes calling to stop calling it, she said "It doesn't matter that it's a cell phone and I'll call it when I want." and "these calls are going to keep coming" WHY? If your not going to tell me why your calling why keep calling? This has got to be harassment. I filed a complaint with the BBB but from all these.... it ain't going to do any good.

- Kevin Thompson| 2 repliescalled asked for Mr.Craig Spinol , said her name was Kelly Mathews. Left a return # of 1-800-829-7750. Claimed company name is Regional Adjustment Center, however ORIGINATING call came from 1-800-829-7204. This person is NOT me, yet they continue to hang up on me, tell me my phone is breaking up and they cant hear me, rudely talks over me and will NOT state what company is calling my phone
It is a violation of Federal Law to solicit calls without identifying the company from which the call is originating, and furthermore, it is another violation to with hold the reason for the call.
How and where do I report these violaters? My phone is on the Nationl Do Not Call List, they will not give a truthfull answer as to why they are calling or what company they represent.- Caller: Regional Adjustment Center
