I have just confirmed that they have no idea where they're calling. They just pick the same last name and "phone spam" the world. When I called the answering service they demanded a phone number. If they had done their homework on this person they're looking for, the name of the person they're looking for would have been enough.

Message for a person with the same last name.  At least three calls a day, starting about three days ago.  So far I have just ignored & deleted, but I'm really getting peed off.

I keep getting calls for Mathew Paruzzi or Pa-ROOT-zi as the computer voice says. I don't know this anyone by this name. I have called and reported this and STILL get dozens of calls a week. This IS stalking isn't it? They say to call 866=593=8775 if I'm not this guy. I've called. I get a recorded message. I have called several times.

getting recorded calls 2-3 times a day for over a month. Called them several times-told them they had wrong name ( asking for Patrick "W"...) and phone number and to STOP harassment calls- they continue to call. When I spoke to a person they started to ask me for personal info and "verification" and I told them to kiss my butt!!!!!!!!!
I complained to PA Attorney General and I'm now motivated to take some aggressive action against this totally indescriminate harassment. How can we stop these arrogant a**es????

Every evening around 8:20 calls from 800-830-2793 asking for someone who does not reside here. If I just hang up without talking it redials.

I received the same call for a person with my last name but unrecognizable first name.  It only happened once and hopefully it will also be the last.

I have enought of them.

I have received calls from them 2 to 4 times a day for over a year. They refuse to stop calling. I do not know the person they are looking for. I think this person had the phone number that was randomly assigned to me over five years ago.

Asking for a lady with my last name re: debt collection.  Third time they called, they left a message.  Before, they never left a message.

Same as everyone else. Good thing I know I don't owe anyone any money or I would worry. You can use free internet programs to call them back and they have no way of knowing who you are. Then you can put them on hold and waste their F***ing time. The biggest attack against freedom and democracy are companies like this one.

Have been getting 5 or 6 calls a week from 1-800-830-2793 asking for someone with a similar name. Sometimes it is a machine and sometimes it is a person.  Now that I know it is a collection agency I will report them to the "do not call" list and see if that helps.

Get numerous calls for a person with the same last name, but a computer-voice garbles the first name. It says to call 1-866-593-8775 to stop these calls. Sounds like a scam to me. I'll the the AG's office for more info.

State of Maryland has been told that I have no knowledge of the person that Wolpoff & Abramson law firm (located in Rockville, MD) has been calling my home asking about for OVER ONE YEAR.  In the beginning a person would call, I would politely explain to the caller over and over that they had the wrong number.  No one by the name they are asking for lived at this number and I did not know this person, and I had my phone number for years -- no one else uses it.  Now they have a recorded announcement asking for this person that I have no connection to or knowledge of.  That announcement comes in all hours of the day and night onto my answer machine -- at night it wakes me.



I have a cassette tape with a copy of the harassing recorded announcement
that I have been receiving.  I would be happy to send it to you.  Just tell me where to send it. Can someone stop these criminal acts immediately – and not six months from now.  Why is Wolpoff & Abramson allowed to continuing to harass people who have no knowledge of who they request when they call. The links below will show you that.  Citizens who have not debt issues are being harassed and have reported it all over the INTERNET.

1.  W&A's 800-830-2793 phone number is ALREADY listed on the "National
Do Not Call Registry" list" - yet no one can stop these HARASSING PHONE CALLS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT INVOLVED IN THEIR DEBT COLLECTION EFFORTS.  That is the number they apparently leave when they call to
harass people -- that 800-830-2793 phone number is stated on their
recorded message that they left for me, and apparently others who have
listed emails are listing the same phone number.
2.  Numerous people (at least those that took the time to post an email)
are being harassed by Wolpoff & Abramson and are begging them to stop
their harassing, unfounded and undocumented calls.  (See all the links I
pasted in below).
3.  W&A are probably representing themselves as a law firm -- can the
Maryland /Montgomery State Bar be brought in on this to pull their
Licenses.  It has been confirmed below that 3 of the 4 individuals listed have “ACTIVE” Maryland Bar Memberships.

The most distressing part of this is the number of people that the two Wolpoffs and the two Abramsons are harassing, resulting in all these consumers having a poor opinion of attorneys.  Everyone reading this needs to ask the County of Montgomery, State of Maryland (where they are located) to stop the Wolpoff & Abramson harassment immediately, and shut these debt collectors down immediately by simply shutting down their phone lines – easy fix!

Please go out to these web sites and post your responses also so that other people can see that the State of Maryland and County of Montgomery, now have knowledge of this crime and are doing something to stop it immediately -- not six months from now.  The County of Montgomery and /or the State of Maryland is allowing Wolpoff & Abramson to continually harass innocent Citizens and disturb their peace of mind and try and obtain money from them.
