someone from correctional institute calling (Charlie) up to 10 times a day up to midnight. This has been going on for 3 weeks. This is harrassment in the highest form. How can someone from a prision make so many calls at anytime.

i am having the same problem and I can't get anyone to tell me how to get it to stop

I get the same call about 4 times a day from jose in st. francis county prison... for about a week now. ive been ignoring it, however it has gotten annoying.

this is where you're SUPPOSED to be able to block it... yeah right. they put you on infinite hold if you try to call them and put a block on these collect calls. Just get on the federal and state no call list, and if you keep getting the calls you can file a grievance. or, if it is really bad, you can call the police and have them put a trace or trap on it, and have them get a hold of the prison to make it stop.

Correctional Billing Services provides correctional facilities throughout the United States with collect calling equipment. In most cases, if you do not know the caller, they just simply have the wrong number. Call 1 (800) 844 6591, and request that they block your line from these types of calls. You will have to provide some personal information in order to do so, and unfortunately there may be a hold time. The best time to call is likely just after 8:00am EST. Hope this helps!

CSB is nothing but a SCAM. It pretends to be legitimate but if you call and give them your phone number and social security number, they will steal your identity and fu*k up your phone bill.  DO NOT CALL.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND SSN!!!

They call about 20 times a day and night very annoying...

Correctional Billing Services left a message on my anwering maching stating that I accepted a collect call and that I would be billed and I was to call 800-844-6591. Someone from the Fresno City Jail called using this Correctional Billing Service several days prior. I did not answer the phone from the jail but my anwering machinge picked it up and I got charged $3.07 for the call. Somehow that triggered their computer that I accepted the call so I got charged. I called Correctional Billing Services and they said they would credit my account. I will verify when I get my bill. My local phone company is also working with me to make sure I get the credit and they also put a block on that number so that I don't receive any more calls from this company.

I've called every phone company i can think of to get the collection service i need for my family member to call me from a djj facility.  this is B.S. that no one services the area or the facility. i live in SC. can anyone help...

a recording from correctional billing services wanting me to put money into an account.  called five times yesterday.  The person the account is for has been released.  I went to their website and sent an email asking them to  stop calling hope it eventually works.

they have called me 6 times in the last two days to collect 28 cents.  I just received an email that they have issued me a credit.  Pretty cool since it is a prepaid account.

This was a recorded message stating that someone from a correctional facility was attempting to call me and I needed to set up an account.  I don't know anyone in prison, and if I did, they need to serve their sentence.  A phone call to me isn't going to help.

I got about 6 calls in 2 hours from this number.  An inmate named Tom was supposedly calling from my local county jail and asking me to accept a collect call. Since I didn't recognize the person, I refused. I was supposed to call this 800 number for customer assistance--which I'm assuming, since reading these other comments, was to collect information from me. I'm sure it is a scam.  But it worried me because at first I was afraid that someone who is counting on me was in a jam.

Several members of my family are getting these calls, from someone in jail claiming to have our family last name. Recently, members of our family that we have not spoken to (and can't stand) are getting the calls, and they are asking for my daughter by first and last name!!!  A family member was asked to 'relay' a message to us NOT TO GIVE OUT THEIR INFORMATION since we don't want anything to do with them for any other reason.  See why we don't want anything to do with these family members!?  A) They're flippin' idiots to think we'd give out their contact information as a way to get ahold of us and B) they can't figure out that just because someone on the phone says something doesn't make it true.  If stupid was illegal, they'd be on death row!!  

hmmmm....maybe it has been illegal all this time and these calls from jail are really from death row and they're completely legit!!!!!  

omg....I'm gonna go call that number right away and talk to every prisoner in the nation with my family name!!!!

Rec'd call this morning.Answering Machine picked up and I got a recording that said the call was from West Ky Correctional Facility and the party calling had hung up.  First call I've rec'd that I'm aware of.  Really enjoyed Athenas comments, You go girl!
