Mother recv'd a call at home telling her laptop is infected. Caller claimed to be from Microsoft. Wanted VISA card # to sell her software. they left this 1-800 # for call back. Sounded very fishy.

800 847 8713 my when I went to uninstall winzip  cause it somehow got infected ,this # popped up claiming to help fix the problem and wanted info email ......I gave my email but that's it .....hope its not a scam ....they hung up on me after I gave my email ...

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

I wouldn't answer call since it's and "800" # & NEVER left a message....  Called multiple times throughout the day.... Blocked on my phone....

This is a major scam run from an Indian call center that goes under the be name synctech.   I made the mistake of picking up once and after they pitched some fishy stuff about a laptop I don't own having a virus I told them to [***] of and die and immediately added them to my call block app.  A few weeks later I check the app log and they had been calling 6 times a day.

Just got this same number 800 847 8713 called several times a day.  It was synctec or something when I called the number they never answer when I called them back.

Just blocked the number , need to figure out who to report it to now

I called an 800-number to complain and had a man with an India accent on the line, I could not understand him at all and I hung up on him. It had not been the right number for my problem -. Maybe that is that company...

Had same thing virus company. I told them I wanted to come to them and have them fix the problem, they hung up. I guess these little POS didn't want me to come and see them.

same thing happened to me. I called about Malware Removal tool over the weekend, Indian man couldn't help me.
Now I have gotten 2 calls this morning from this number.

Need to look into blocking this number.

I get a single call from this number every single day. They call, and I pick up. Every time. As soon as I answer, I get exactly 13 seconds of silence, and then they hang up. I googled this number and got names like Synctech and Microsoft Scam number, but every report said they were a scam pitch. Yet all I get from this number is 13 seconds of silence. I don't get it. And it's really creepy, so I blocked the number. I still don't get why all I got was 13 seconds of silence once every day at 3:53 PM.

Said his name was Sam and I had a virus in my laptop. Said he was with safeapp.com checked it out they give away free virus

I have not answered this after reading other members comments and put them on Blacklist for Call Blocker. Don't expect any help from any of the Do Not Call. These thieves from India just laugh about that and continue their thieving ways. Download Call Blocker from Apps Store. If they get your landline good luck with blocking that.

Thieves from India. I use Call Control free download on Play Store. Stop these Thieves from causing my phone to actually ring.
