a reason.

Have you researched the company?  Do you know what they
do?  If the parties being called dealt with their business
on an appropriate level, there would be no need for this
type of company at all.  Did you ever think about that?
They are hired by others who need help in that area.
Maybe you should consider ALL the facts next time?

I kept getting calls from this number, and all they would say is for me to forward a message to my mom, but never said what it's about. I finally took the call today, and after taking the number, I told them to never call me again. Mr Crippen immediately hung up on me.

I can appreciate that you're likely an employee of these folks, but I keep getting calls from them, about monthly, regarding a debt that was contracted by my ex-wife AFTER our divorce. I've sent certified copies of everything they asked me to send and they continue to call me, saying that I'm "related to her" and they need to be paid "one way or another". I've got a harrassment attorney looking into it for me at the moment.

Whatever you do...RECORD every single conversation you have with these liars. They will LIE over the phone and threaten you that the call is being recorded, but when you ask them to supply the recorded message, they will not respond to your email, or call.

You might want to invest in a good attorney to deal with this people. Get a good liar to deal with another liar!!!

Got a voice mail from this number. I put the number into Google and got to this site.  Since I do not have any bills, I am pretty sure this is regarding my brothers bills. He is deceased. He passed away on Jan. 13, 2009 and I sent notices to all his creditors that he did not have any insurance or any assets/estate. Please write off the debt. One asked me if I had a credit card I could put it on, now this!! Amazing. Just FYI the only person responsible for his debts is him and he is deceased. Slimeballs!!!!!!!!!!!

Consider this...If you simply pay whatever they are
calling you abou, that will resolve the issue.
Look at our economy.  You can choose to do the right
thing or have people like this calling you to get
you to do the right thing. Your choice.

A "Paul Lankas" just called from this number and asked to speak with my brother about an urgent personal matter. My brother has not lived here for several years and has not given out this number or address for any personal or business reasons.  When this was explained to the gentleman he asked us to have my brother call him urgently at his office: 800-849-9791, extension 2115. It sounded phony so we Googled the number and found this site.

OMG, I don't pay my bills and cannot get these scumbags to stop calling me for the debt I owe. Can I sue them. Hahahahaha, people are funny.

If these people can figure out that I moved with out me telling them (they were supposed to send everything to my mothers house because that is my listed residence) and I now get mail from them where I live now (trust me not someplace you want your personnel information to get loose at) then they should be able to figure out that I no longer have an income.  (thusly why I am living with someone else in the place that I am living until I am able to find a source of income.)  I have tried explaining this to them on the phone and told them to stop sending me things in the mail here and to send it all to my mothers house (where I send ALL OF MY MAIL)... they agree to it but then they continue to call me and send things here... I've told them when I have the money I will contact them and give it to them... but here is the thing... They are harassing me on this level for a student loan that I want and know I need to pay back that is only $1000 that I had forgot about and didn't come time to pay until after I was in a car accident and could no longer work where I was working.

I've tried working with them but they are ruining my credit and I'm starting to get ticked off.

This company has a history of breaking laws and being sued over it.  Just document all interactions with them and pretty soon they will be the ones owing you money once you consult with an experienced attorney about the harassment/violations.  Document, Document, Document!

So I got the call from good 'ole Herb Dawning etx. 2216. Told me I owed money from 4 years ago. Told him I have my credit report in front of me and to name the entity to which I owed the debt. He fluttered around a bit and then switched over to my brother owes them money do I know where he is.  I have no doubt that people don’t pay their bills and they should. However this company reeks of scam artists and should be reported if they hassle you. You can report them to the FCC for harassment.

these people want to help you. there are many things that can be done to assist you if you would return the call. if you have a federal loan then more than likely you can consolidate that loan at the department of education. then you could defer the consolidation for up to 3 years. if you owe a tuition balance, payments can be worked out to fit your budget. running from educational debt only gets you in more trouble. this agency will help you... why don't you give them a chance and all of you will change your minds on this matter.
