Message was left on my voice mail stating i needed to call regarding my Sams Club Discover Credit card ending in ****.  I don't have a Discover Card.  I called Sams Club direct, told them the phone number,they called the number but couldn't get through. Sam's club could not find that this 800 # was a valid phone number for Discover Card and suggested it was a fraud.  I did not call the number.

Sams club calling about how they declined charges a few days earlier for fraud prevention... would have been useful if they called right away.

Canned voice trying to verify $25 on my Sam's Discover Card.  Pressed #3 for "No", transferred to unintelligible person who spoke very poor English, tried to get birthdate, credit card  no, SS number.  Hung up & reported to Sam's, who cancelled my card.

I received an automated call from this number stating there was an issue with my Sams Club Discover. It gave the name the card was issued to (my husband's name) and said to press any number to continue. I hung up. I searched the Internet and cannot find that this number is registered to any business. Neither could I find any reference to this number on the Sams Club Discover website. Sounds like a fraud...

Hi again, same person as above. It turned out this was a legitimate phone call from the fraud department at Sams Club Discover. Good thing I followed up. There had been attempted fraudulent activity on my account. What tipped me off was that a transaction I authorized was turned down by Sams and the contractor contacted me to say my credit card transaction had been denied.

I recieved a call from this number today that went to my voice mail.  I didn't want to call that number for fear it was fraud so I called the number on the back of my credit card. Turns out, this 800 number is valid and yes, 3 charges had been made to my card via the internet to Target.  1 charge went through but the other 2 were denied. GE Credit services has closed that account and are issuing me a new card.  My advice is not to ignore these calls but probably not call the numbers they leave.  However, do call the customer service number on the back of your card. The call could be legitemate so it's best to check.

Beware, this could be a scam to get credit info. Beware of calling back. Use only numbers on bills or credit cards!

This number is one of Sam Club Discover card numbers. I received a call from it and called the number on the back of my card to verify. It was a call about three charges I had made the day before, one over the net.

Got this call and gave them all my info without even thinking about it.  Fraud popped into my head shortly after so I call the customer service number on the back of the card. Some convenience store was trying to charge over $600 on my card. When I called the cust. service number, they had all the same things to say.  Turned out to be legitimate.  Though, in the future I will not respond to any number I don't recognize. Instead I'll call the number on the back of the card myself.

They called my number and left a message. They were asking for someone that used to have my phone number 4 years ago ( get calls for the previous person so I know who they are) and they gave the last digits of the credit card. They said it was the fraud prevention department checking on recent charges.
It may be a scam, but it sounds legit and the number appears to be GE Money - Sams.
Either way I am not calling them back because I don't have a GE Money - Sam's card.

I just got a call from this #, when I pick it up, nobody is talking and just hang up.

I got 2 calls from this number over the last 2 days. I googled and found this thread. I called Sam's Club at the number on the back of my card and it was indeed from them, but the customer service rep said I did the right thing to suspect something. They were calling to verify a charge I had made yesterday. It was for a larger amount than I normally charge, so I was glad to see they are keeping a close eye on things.

This was a legitimate call from Sam's Club Discover (GE Services) regarding a legitimate charge to a card, but with an older expiration date. This caused the charge to be denied. When I called the  number on the back of the card, I was given all the information and the card was reinstated.

It was Sam's calling.  Somebody hit my card for $7 yesterday and then again today for an online purchase at WalMart for $986.  Good catch!  This phone was legit!

Calls from this number come almost daily and sometimes more than once daily, like today.  This is an automated message with a female voice. I need help with this problem!!

We called back to the number on the back of the card and it is legit. We had two charges yesterday on our card so they wanted to verity that it was okay. One was in the store and then another one at the gas pump. So glad they are watching closely.

Automated voice message calling to confirm recent charges on new Sam's Club MasterCard which replaced discontinued Discover Card. Never spoke to anyone, just followed automated voice menu to confirm legit charges.
