- JeanCalled and said they were the fraud department for Bank of America. Called back and got put on hold which gave me time to think that I should call Bank of America directly. Used the number on the back of the credit card......this was not them.

- RW| 1 reply5/19/2010, Yes, a LEGITIMATE number! ......A robot just called me & left 800-877-7408 as a call beck #, (saying a hold was being put on my account). ....Being suspicious of a robot calling & hanging up, I grabbed the VISA card and called their 888-530-3626 number (which is Omaha, NE) and jumped through all the hoops (personal info for THEM to verify who I was).
Once I KNEW who I was tallking to, I began trying to think of what might have made a red flag pop up.
During the process I realized that yesterday we had made a deposite on a cruise leaving 8 months from now. When I explained that detail the "hold" was removed and I thanked the guy profusely for them haveing the "watchdog" policy! - JoshuaI received a call from them this morning. It was a legitimate fraud prevention company - I didn't have to give them my credit card number - they just needed my name, mother's maiden name, and date of birth. They confirmed the last 4 digits of the card (I didn't offer, they already knew it) and my most recent charges. They had several charges that were fraudulent on my card so they canceled it and they're sending me a new one. My card was not from Bank of Omaha though - it is from Infibank - and is a PETA Visa.
- BBNI just got a call from this number and voice message. I called back to this number. This number was from First National Bank of Omaha. I found my card number used in online site and They send me new card soon. You got a call from this number. You should call back ASAP.
- Caller: First National Bank of Omaha
- TedThey are legitimate. If you want, call the number on the back of your card. It will get routed to them. They saw some charges attempted against my expired card, and wanted to alert me.
- J HarrisConstant, constant calling. I have no cards from First National Bank of Omaha nor Bank of America. I check my charge card statements constantly so I doubt if anyone has any of my numbers. They have called at the most 20 times a day and they start on Sat. at 9:00 a.m. The last call is around 9:00 p.m. at night. They won't leave a message. If it is so important leave a message and explain.
- CJ| 1 replyIt was legit. They called me because my card had two fraudulent, out of state charges. They were prompt in cancelling the card and said they would mail us cards for a new account. If they call you from this number, I would urge you to call them back quickly, whether you go through the number on the back of the card or just call them directly.
It is for First National Bank of Omaha. You may have gotten a card through your bank, but they kind of outsource it to First National Bank of Omaha. I used to work for a bank and they used FNB of Omaha for their credit card services, thats how I got the card in the first place.- Caller: First National Bank of Omaha
- CJ replies to CJThey did leave me a message. I called them back. I would have been more suspicious if they hadn't left a message.
- JLegitamite call. Fraud prevention for the Visa credit card. Someone in another state was attempting to use my card and they were calling me to verify if it was me. Cancelled card and will reissue me another.
- Caller: Visa
- JHThey left message to call back. I did and they asked, "Name?" I said, this is a business, not a person. Then they said, "Credit Card number?" I said, I'm just calling back because I had a message to call. They said, "This is the Fraud Prevention Unit of the First National Bank of Omaha." I said, I have no dealing whatsoever with the First National Bank of Omaha. Never heard of them. They said, well, call us back if you need further assistance.
- Caller: First National Bank of Omaha
