- jlfThis is the first call I received from this number. They left a message but it sounded like a machine leaving the message not a real person. I don't normally answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. The call came around 2:29pm pacific while I was on the phone.

- kellie floridaI received a call form this number today 10/19/07 on my cell phone. I did not answer because I don't answer unknown #'s. The message said it was a private call for Betty something or other and if I was not that person, I should call them back to have my number removed from the list. No thanks! Not calling back! Thanks for all the info!
- AZLadyCaller did not leave a message, and I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I never answer "Unavailable" or "Unknown" calls either. I will not be calling back. I have an unlisted number and am on the Do Not Call List so as far as I'm concerned, they are invading my privacy. I couldn't care less what they might want.

- TrishI received a call at work, the caller id said unknown. I normally would not answer an unknown call but since I am at work I have too. When I answered the phone I did not say my name; they asked for me by first name only. I asked who was calling & he said Oscar, I said with what company he said FMS. I asked what he was calling about & he started to get rude & asked if I was available. I said no & asked for a call back number. He gave it to me and then he hung up on me. I am not sure what they wanted & I am not going to call them back either. I do not owe on my student loans yet, since I am still in school.

- CinJust got a call from this number and the IDIOT was so freakin RUDE, I ain't gonna lie.
He wanted to talk to my husband. I told him that he wasn't home, can I take a message and he said "fine"....with exasperation in his voice and wanted to know if I had paper and pen to do that. No, I just said thatI did for the heck of it!!!
Of course, I am not writing this down.....he rattles very fast in very poor English, whatever company name it is. I could not understand this IDIOT at all.
I asked him what this was in regards to and he gets ALL rude and tells me that it is personal and it was none of my business and he didn't care if I was "the wife" and since I was being rude to him, he was going to report me. Ya, whatever.
I told him that we are on the do not call list and he just violated it.
Then he pops off with, I guess I still managed to get through huh?
But, before I hung up on him, I admit, I did call him an a**hole. :)
Sick and tired of still getting phone calls even with being on the do not call list. Why did I even bother?
I "assume" this was a debt collector.....I have no idea.- Caller: Toll Free Call

If you don't know your rights read the Federal Fair Collections Act (click below), tell them not to call you at work. Report violations to your State Attorney General or sue them for damages if you lose your job because of their calls.

Can a debt collector contact me any time or any place?
No. A debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 in the morning or after 9 at night, unless you agree to it. And collectors may not contact you at work if they’re told (orally or in writing) that you’re not allowed to get calls there.- Call type: Debt collector
- cripple guyLoan scavenger. They take old and invalid debt. FMS will claim to be the federal government unless you ask them a direct question.
My loan was insured for disability. I became disabled. The debt was invalidated by the Department of education. Catch being if I am cured of paralysis the debt could become valid.
Loan scavengers try to scare or harass you. Ignore them until they break the law.
The Department of education is responsible for this they gave your SSN to them. Never admit or deny a SSN over the phone. SSN is not to be used to identify you.- Caller: FMS
