This 800-892-5400 number is calling my house at least 5 times daily. My baby cannot nap because of these calls that are sometimes only 10 minutes apart.
Had 5 calls from this number today alone. XM radio wants me to subscribe to the service which came with my car purchased almost 3 months ago (3 month subscription w/purchase). Harassing me with repeated phone calls is not a way to get my money.
XM trying to get me to renew my XM that came with my new car...I don't want it. They call several times a day!! HORRIBLE!! I wouldn't give them my money now because of the harrassment!
Numerous calls EVERY DAY!! I refuse to answer, no messages left. I have a new car, so I know that it is XM. Previous experience with XM was HORRIFIC!! DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR SERVICE!!!
I call the number and told them to take my phone off their list. They said they did, and that it may take up to a week. Will update if it does not stop.
Here's a record of the unsolicited calls I received from XM, following a free 3 month trial that ended in August. Times are Pacific Time.
September 13 - 7:05 am - 12:28 pm
September 14 - 6:26 am - 8:14 am - 9:38 am
September 17 - 1:24 pm
September 18 - 8:03 am - 10:46 am
September 25 - 9:30 am - 5:54 pm
September 26 - 8:56am
The September 26 call was from an actual person, unlike all the previous calls that were automated, so picking up the phone did not stop the calls. I called XM every day they called me, beginning on the 13th. On the 13th and 14th I was told I was being taken off the call list and that it would take up to 7 days to be removed. Later that week I was told it would take 24-48 hours. At the end of the week I even had the CSR remove my phone number from my records and replace it with 555-555-5555, but that didn't stop the calls. On the 25th, the CSR rep again removed my phone number, and said that the calls would immediately stop. They did not, as I was called just 9 hours later. I ended up assigning a silent ringer to their phone number, and was considering changing my phone number, since I did not know if the calls would ever stop.
The call on the 26th, however, was a real person. The phone number was different too, it was 800-897-2346. I'm not sure why she called, and she did not know about XM harrassing me. Once again I explained, and I got to talk to her supervisor. The supervisor's name was Christine, was extremely nice and helpful. She said she would personally email the company that makes the calls (Results Technologies) to stop calling me. (She was unlike the other supervisor I spoke to the week before, who treated me like I was wasting his time). She said that it might take until mid-October for the calls to end, but hopefully sooner. Since that call, though, I have not received any XM calls. It's only been three business days, though, so I don't know if I'm out of the woods yet.
All I know at this point is that I will never buy a car with Satellite Radio. If the dealer can't disable it before I drive it off the lot, I'll just have to look elsewhere.
The first time they called I picked up and all I heard was background chatter, so I hung up the phone. They have called me often since then and I recognize their number and don't answer the call.
My wife just got a new company car and it has XM Radio which we have only learned about and used sporadically since it is free for a trial period.
2-3 calls each day from this number for the past week. I do not pick up, and a voicemail is never left. I tried calling back 2 times and spoke with someone who said they would fix the problem. It's not fixed yet...
Been getting this number on my phone too....not sure why it suddenly started since it's been several months since our subscription expired. I just turn the ringer down low. I don't answer my phone anymore unless I'm expecting a call (which isn't often). If I'm going to sleep I turn it off completely. I get so many calls from Bank of America (everyday, multiple times a day). Nothing stops the calls. I just almost feel like disconnecting but with a security system you have no choice but to have a land line.
We get calls multiple times EVERY DAY from XM. When I answer (to try and get them to stop), I get dead air or a hangup. When it goes to the machine, I get no message. Filed a complaint every time with donotcall.gov, however this has not stopped it. I filed today with the Michigan Attorney General. When I have called them in the past to request an end to the calls, they ask for my home phone. When I provide it, they claim they cannot find a record of that phone number. I asked the guy why they call several times every day if they "don't have" my phone number. He was worthless to deal with.
I am trying to get an email to the CEO of XM, however am not able to find one. I might have to write an old-fashioned letter. This is really the only way I figure to get it to stop.
We had the 3-month free trial on our new car, however that ran up 3-4 months ago. I am of the understanding they can only call you up to 90 days after you were a customer. Good way to try and get me back as a customer--calling me and hanging up. Yeah, right.
