Automated call received every day for person not at this address or number

Just called and left a message as my cell phone was turned off at the time. Automated system couldnt pronounce the first name, @&#^#%...Griffin. If you are not this person, please call and let a representitive know so you can be removed from the call list.
I have and am waiting to see if I receive another call.

I get the same call for someone else. I have a prepaid phone, and they always seem to call right near the end of my paid minutes. I have tried calling this number to get them to stop, but all I get is a male automated voice saying "We appreciate your call, please wait." and then I hear a click like if I was hung up on.

Automated call received for person not at this address or number.  Name of "Betty Jane Munroe" - sounds like a made up name to me. Purports to be Credit Collections of some kind.  Says to call this number to be removed from the list if not Betty Jane Munroe.

Have called to be removed from their list repeatedly but no-one answers 1-800-894-4251, just another automated voice which either says "all busy call back later" or "your call is important to us, please hold" several times then hangs up on you.

Strange thing is that this is the second Credit Collections "group" to call looking for Betty Jane Munroe at this number.  The first group were real people leaving messages on our answering machine every few weeks.  This went on for 6 months or more.  Finally I was home one day when they called and I answered.  When I told the guy there was no Betty Jane Munroe and please stop calling he got all bent out of shape because I had not called them back earlier to tell them this.  (Why would I?)  And then he started asking all kinds of leading questions about who's name the phone was in and who lives in the house....  Freakiest part was he sounded like he already knew the answers to some of them, like he had it in front of him.  Very weird.

I keep receiving messages from this company. I call them back and tell them that person isn't at this phone number. They say my number isn't in their system but every few weeks I will get a call from them. I call them back and tell them that I am still receiving calls for that person and they are rude and say "WELL ITS NOT IN OUR SYSTEM SO YOU AREN'T RECEIVING CALLS" and promptly hang up on me. Who ever this company is their workers are rude and their automated system is harassing me.

So glad I found this site.  This started happening to me about a week ago. Every night at the same time my phone rings and tells me to call a number.  I'll be darned!  Tomorrow night I'm writing that number down, because it is different from the 800-894-4251 that left a message on my machine, telling me to call if I'm NOT whoever it was.....hard to understand.....looking for.  Very annoying and strange.  If it were a scam you'd think they actually have you talking to someone to get info.  Every time I call to complain I get a recording and hung up on.  ggggrrrrr

Still receiving calls from this company. They still wont resolve their automated system calling me even though they say my phone number isn't in their system.

I have been receiving calls related to this number for months. This is very annoying. Isn't there someone we can call to complain about this?

I just called my attorney. He has prepared a cease and desist. The party they are trying to reach at 317-840-XXXX no longer owns that number. He is filing a FTC complaint and complaints with the US Attorney General and Indiana and New Jersey Attorney General.
