Called at ten to nine this evening.  They didn't leave a message, but this is a new one and I bet they call again.

Called at least once everyday this past week. Do not identify themselves or what they are calling about.

I was right.  They called at 2:09 PM.  No message.

No message. It rings one time, so there is no time to answer the phone.

Has called at least five times in the past week and a half.  All different times, sometimes 4pm, sometimes 2pm, just now at 8pm, never leave a message.

It's from a telemarketing firm, the Smith Company (http://www.TheSmithCo.com/).
I just opted off their call list by calling them at (202) 895-0900.
I was told that it would take 3-4 business days to completely expunge my number from their system.

Tonight marks about the 5th time they've called me.  Just reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry office.

it's a teachers' association with ?TAC?

at least that's what the woman on the other end told me when I pressed her that she had called numerous times to speak with my daughter, a teacher

Called 8:07 PM CDT.  No message.

Called 5 times, told not interested the 2nd time, asked not to call 3rd time, told not to call again 4 and 5 times and they hung up on me.

Asked for my husband, wouldn't leave a message.  I called the number back and left a voicemail for the Smith Companies to never call our residence again.  We do not accept calls from solicitors, surveys, etc.

I got a VM this evening - 8:45 pm - from 800-895-0999.  I called it back and it said that I had reached The Smith Company general mailbox and could leave a message.  I hung up.

They call at least once a day. One ring, never anybody there. Called the 202-895-0900 number. Left msg on their voicemail to be removed from their list. We are listed in the "Do not call registry". What's with these people? Do they ignore the law?

Called at 8:50 PM.  No message.  I hate people who call us at bedtime.

Same as most comments. I CALLED THEM YESTERDAY, 7/25/07, REACHED AN "ANGIE",asked how to remove my phone # from their calling list.  She took my # and said she would take it off.  I asked what kind of company they are and she replied "magazine telemarketing" and also said "...You must have subscribed to" ....  and named several magazines.  I said no, only TV guide, and she quickly said "Oh, that's it!"..she's good.  In any case no more calls, at least for 1 1/2 days!!!

Called 7/30/2007 at 11:48AM from 800-895-0999 and when I answered the phone they hung up without ever saying anything.  We called the number and got a message to leave a message in the general mailbox for the Smith Company.
We are on the DoNotCallRegistry federal as well as New York's.

I sent them an email telling them that they are in violation of the DoNotCallRegistry and to remove my phone number from their calling list immediately.

I sent them this email 20 hours ago:
If you really are concerned with following the laws regarding nuisances,
etc. then you would ensure that your calling list has removed all the
phone numbers listed in the DoNotCallRegistry.  I see however that you
don't since there a re amany complaints listed here:

So, send them an email rather than calling them... then if they violate the DoNotCallRegistry you have a copy of the emails to back up your claim against them.  Plus, you are not spending any money on long distance phone calls.
