called me

Had recording to verify a name of who they were calling...wasn't my name, so I hung up.

Called back to tell them, but there was just a tone and then a person listening, could hear others on phone in the background.  Thought it was creepy...

This number called me as well. Googled it and found this. Glad I didnt answer that. How is that legal to use a message to verify who you are? lame.

i keep getting calls from this number, when i answer they hang up.  I finally called the number back, spoke to a woman, i told her about getting repeat hang up calls, she basically called me a liar, told her she works for a professional company and they wouldn't do that.

I received a call on my lunch hour from this number and nothing absolutely nothing, so I called it back and it went to music immediately,I stated that if they wanted to call me home they needed to speak.

Yet another [***] company calling me on MY CELL PHONE!

Just did a callback - the number (as of July 15th, 2008) is in use by "Nelson Watson & associates".

They were trying to contact someone named "Emma Haight" at a wisconsin based cellphone.

If you are contacted by this company, ask the following before answering ANY of their questions:

1 - what company is this?
2 - who are you trying to reach?
3 - What is this in regards to?
4 - And what state are they listed in?
5(optional, if you want to mess with them ;) - What state do you think you called when calling this number?

I just got a call from this number, but when I answered, nothing.  This is the second time in two days I've gotten a call like this, from different numbers though.

I keep getting phone calls on this, asking for a Tonya Smith, if you are not Tonya Smith, press 2.  If you are Tonya Smith, stay on the line.  But they're leaving messages, and even when I answer when they call, I press 2 and they're still effing calling.  Idiots.

These calls are a SCAM to get your personal information.  Do not answer them - report to FCC instead.  Make sure your phone is on DO NOT CALL list.

Hung up when receptionist picked up. Now it makes sense, since they have been told not to contact me at work! They're trying anyway, but they know they can't, so they hang up! But it's still at work harrassment!

Keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone, they never leave a message.  I finally called back and it immediately goes to music.  I stayed on the line for about 5 minutes before someone finally picked up.  I asked her why they called me, she said I called her. I got tired of going round and round and just hung up.  I wasn't about to give them any of my information.

They call me about 2 times every day. I'm getting very tired of it!

This type of behavior is ridiculous, which makes me thankful for the FTC's very strict guidelines on Collection Agency behavior.  If you are being called at anytime outside of 8am and 9pm, it's a breach of federal law, and open to litigation.  Make sure to read and understand this document,

It's the fair debt collections act.  If they break ANY of the rules, call them out on it, I guarantee they'll never call again.  Intimidation tactics like these are illegal, and we as citizens need to take action against the [***] these companies think they can pull.

This number called my cell phone but I missed the call.  It appears to be one of several phone numbers that continually calls my home and cell, most likely collection agencies for people who owned our house before we bought it.  Can't seem to get through to them that we are not the old owners!

Called my cell phone.  I answered on the first ring, but they hung up.

Several calls a day over last couple of weeks. Only can hear breathing, other voices and phones in background. No message ever left. Don't these people have anything better to do?
