Received a message stating that this was a "courtesy call" in regards to my timeshare maintenance fees. In order to see if I qualified, I was to call their number. I don't have a timeshare and would strongly advise anyone reading this post from refraining doing any type of business with someone who basically is "phishing" via telephone.

I must say I love the "courtesy call" bs.  That would, of course, be illegal solicitations if you're on the DNC list.  And if you confront them about that, they usually hang up on you.  But it does the heaqrt good to call them liars without actually saying the word.

Received a call same as Rob above saying this is a courtesy call about the elimination of your timeshare maintenance fees.  I did recently dump my timeshare and maintenance fees by selling my timeshare to a timeshare company (actually paid them to take it off my hands to avoid future maintenance fees).  So either the organization that helped me to get rid of the timeshare, the closing company or the timeshare resort must have given the information.  I don't know how else they would have found out unless the information is available at the court house.  Bottom line is I got the message but did not call them back.  The entire timeshare industry is a scam and breeds new scammers.

This message started with a "courtesy call" from Jessica about selling my timeshare.  The number listed on my phone was from "Compton"--310-599-9201.   I didn't answer, but she left a message that if I was interested to call  1-800-917-1211.  Just a rip-off and since I didn't recongnize the name, I didn't answer.

Message from Jessica - reduce timeshare maintenance fees.  Pressed 1 to get to a person to be removed from list (multiple calls), but wait time was 47 minutes.  I've never owned a timeshare and I'm on the national and Colorado no call lists.

Literally stalked by JESSICA with frequent calls.  I've reported them frequently to DNC complaints to no avail.  They've been personally told not less than 5 times to stop calling.  You can't call the number that shows up on caller id, a practice that be illegal.  I called the 800 number and it gives some mumbo jumbo about entering a number which I was told to be aware of so I entered their number again.  Surely something should be able to be done about this type of on-going harassment.

Received the same call from Jessica.  It was to see if you wanted to DONATE your timeshare so you wouldn't have to pay any more maintenance fees.  SUCH CRAP!!

    Complained to FCC
The only way I found to stop unsolicited telemarketing or other unsolicited calls (assuming one is on the DNC list) is take 10 minutes and complete the Complaint Form provided on-line from the FCC.  This has been totally successful for me in filing approximately 10 complaints.  I just finished filing the one for the 800-917-1211 call-back although the call originated from Las Vegas.  Some time back I got on every cruise line tours list with calls almost daily.  I logged the dates and times of calls (and your phone probably does this for you) which is needed to strengthen your complaint and give sufficient information to the FCC to follow up.  Shortly after submitting the complaints I never heard from any of the callers again.  100% successful.

I received an unwanted call about maintenance fees for a timeshare but the person did not identify the timeshare they represent. I recommend you do not return the call.

Literally STALKED by Jessica who leaves a message to call 1-800-17-1211 about my timeshare.  I've reported them to Do Not Call Registry and FCC.  They continue to STALK.

I constantly get this call from Jessica to elminate my timeshare maintenance fees.  Today I was just in the mood to give them 'what for' and called the 800 number they gave. When they answered, it was automated and never said who they were.  I actually did get put in a wait queue but only for a few seconds.  I told them I was constantly getting called by them.  They asked if I owned a timeshare i answered yes, they asked if i was interested in getting rid of maintenance fees, I lied and said no, so she said they would take me off their list.  We shall see...
