I received a call with no data sent and was asked to respond to this number 1-800-925-9018.  A Gary Launsdale said he needed to speak to me regarding my neighbor and to please call him back at the number extension 63681 and gave a refrence file number too.  I have looked areound on the net and think it is a scam.

As you may already know it is the notorious United Credit Bureau.  I bunch of low life collectors (and I use that term loosely).  It requires a whole five minutes on the web to realize the trash behnd this phone number (and many others).  I fine example of their contribution to this world can be witnessed at http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/169/RipOff0169131.htm what a wonderful depiction of their incredible stupidity . . . enjoy

A Tammy Lynn called my mom, brother, and ex-husband (whom I have not talked to in several years) requesting I call back in regards to a complaint filed against me.  When I called back, I spoke to Gary Lonsdale (sp?) from UCB who was calling on behalf of CitiGroup.  If anyone wants to file a complaint against UCB, first review the FTC website on debt collection.

a person named Robbin called. She wanted me to tell my neighbor to call her.

Received a call about a complaint against me and they said to call back Tammi and to use a reference number when calling back. It also important that you call back right away.

Calls to my cell phone say UNKNOWN.  I never answer.  After numerous calls they left a message.  I could barely understand the message due to the thick woman's latino accent.  She said a complaint has been filed against me because I defaulted on a contract.  She did not state who the creditor was.  Be warned, the term 'complaint' is a legal term.  You have to be served a Summons and Complaint by an attorney that is licenced in your state.  A Complaint is not an action a collection agency is licenced to do, nor garnish nor put a lien on real property until judgment is obtained against you.  Refer to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Google violations to FDCPA to know your rights and sue the collection agency if they violate.  They all do, I know people in the industry.

This same number called regarding a deceased member of my family. If only they new that she has been dead over 10 years.

My mother got a call for my husband from Tammi Lynn who claimed to be from the County Courthouse regarding a case being brought against my husband. She had a 'case number' and an 800 number, with extension for the courthouse. The courthouse does not have an 800 number. When I called, it was for UCB.

Ella from UCB called.  Probing for information regarding a debt from a relative who has never lived with us, never used our number, and is none of our business if they owe money or not.  Left a message for x63712 to call back.

This is a credit bureau who is calling my house many times per day, but not for me - they have the wrong number, but won't stop. I have called back many times to report this to them, and they swear that they'll stop, but within hours, they're at it again. Who can I report this to?
The person calling is Mrs. Vogel at extension 63606. She is obnoxious.
Where can I find out my rights and what laws there are about this? I'm in California, by the way.

I received a message which I could hardly understand what they were saying which I mean the reference number and their extension. I did have their phone number 800-925-9018 and they mentioned that they're trying to reach my neighbor since their number was disconnected. I asked them how did they get my phone number and they indicated that it shows that we live next door which is pretty scary to think something like this goes on when a debt collector can't reach the party that owes money. They asked me to have my neighbor to call them with a reference number they provided. First of all I don't talk to my neighbor's about their personnel business so this message will never reach my neighbor I guess they'll just have to handle it the old fashion way "reach them by mail". I asked them the name of their company and they said "USB" then I asked what type of company are they and the woman mentioned there is no further information she can give since this is a confidential call. If it's so confidential then why are you discussing it with me by calling my home to reach out to my neighbor at they time she responded by saying you called us back now we have your number as the party to be in touch with our neighbor. I told the woman I was speaking with that when this conversation ends that would be the end of my relationship with their company and would not be discussing anything with my neighbor since it is not my job or place to tell a neighbor to call a company.

Tami Lynn called and asked me to give a message to my neighbor.  She left the 800-925-9018 x3619, and a file number.  She also lied when I asked if she was a bill collector, she said, "No."  If anyone has a robo-calling machine, I would love to borrow it and use it to keep calling their 800 number.  I just had major surgery and it was painful to get to the phone.  They should not be calling me about a neighbor. I put a complaint in with the FTC and I plan to sue.

I get calls many times from 1800-925-9018 ext 62712 and ask for a neighbour I do not know about.
Please go to http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm and make a complain.
The more complains they have, the quicker they'll be forced to stop these practices.

Returned from work to find 1 call on the caller ID - no number, just "UNAVAILABLE."  She left a message.  Identified herself as (phonetically) Ms. Tinder (static on the line so could have been Kinder or some variant of one of those spellings). Odd that the number did not show up on the ID.

Anyway, she said I was "listed" as a contact for the person she was trying to reach on a "time-sensitive" matter.  She left this 800-number and her extension, and requested that I have that person return the call.

I haven't any intention of calling back regarding someone I know nothing about.

Called and left a message for a neighbor I had a year ago.  I returned the call and asked them to remove my number (How did they get it in the first place?)

I got one better... they called me at a new home and number I've only been living in for two months... looking for a family member who has never lived here... AND the reference number they left is his SSN!!!! Be CAREFUL.... they are leaving people's SSNs on voicemailboxes that are not the owners!!!

they called my brother and said i gave his number as a contact number. which is not true, inever give out anyones number!!!!!!!!!! then a lata more was rude a abusive to him.he told her never to call him again. an she slamed the phone down.

someone from this co. called my neighbor and left them a message to have me call them. How can this be ok to call someones neighbors RE: a Debit that I owe... thats nobodys business but mine.  I did file a complaint I hope everyone does this is JUST WRONG!

Just received a call from a Miss Cloe (phonetically spelled) who stated my husband's full name and said it was imperative that he call them back and speak to her at 800-925-9018 Ext. 63716. She identified the company as UCB and further stated this was not a sales call or solicitation phone call and, again, that it is very important that he call her back. Caller ID came up "Out of Area". We do not usually asnwer calls unidentified. I did a search on the web for UCB and have now learned that this could potentailly be a scam and will plan to report our experience with the FTC as well.
