- 800-926-3136GC Services is correct. They are a collection agency for the almighty American Express. American Express violated our right to privacy and our right to have our financial records remain confidential unless we state in writing that they have the right to provide that information to a third party. American Express has given your name, date of birth, social security number, mailing address, account number, and balance to a third party. They did it because you did not pay a debt to them, but it still does not make it right for them to do this. Contact your state attorney general's office.
Contact your congress person. The debt was paid already by your tax dollars.- Caller: GC Services

- EXT 3093What do Bill Collectors make monthly?
- Stupid replies to CandiWhy not work out a deal with Amex themselves instead of the bill collector?
- Pay your bill!| 5 repliesThis is the largest company of its kind appearantly. If you check
your contract with Amex you will see they are doing nothing wrong.
They wouldn't, and don't need to risk anything to deal with a small
time debtor. You need to educate yourself about credit cards and laws. It's not free money. They are in it to make money! Don't be stupid. GC
services pumps millions of dollars back into the piss poor economy you
greedy spoiled morons created. These are professionals performing a
business function. They make anywhere from $25,000 to $110,000 per year
from there cubicles. Oh and guess what, business is booming right now so maybe up those salary figures. - Watcher replies to Pay your bill!| 1 replyThis is the problem with message boards. Morons who cannot even spell APPARENTLY, attack people without even knowing their situation. If you are currently in bankruptcy protection or in the process of doing so, they cannot harass you. Hopefully, the previously mentioned moron will never have to deal with the loss of a great paying job and the subsequent ridicule by faceless [***].

- Eric Smides replies to Pay your bill! You work for them don't you?
- marinerI too received a call from TC or GC Services looking for my dad "regarding an American Express account". I have power of attorney and they want a copy of it...to the best of my knowledge, my dad doesn't have an American Express because I pay all of his bills. They won't give me any more information without the POA document. Any words of wisdom?

- proactive replies to Pay your bill!I did pay my bills with Amex on time for 8 years in a row - not one late payment and over 50% of time above the min. required... they still cut me off my card... because they didn't like the fact that my income suffered from this economy... I used my savings account (when short) to continue paying on time... the idiot who called me from GC didn't even identify the company he is with (there must be a law about that) but said it was extremely important and that it was not a solicitation... I checked the number first on google... so now he is definitely not going to get a call back.
Funny that Amex is calling three people I know (who have not been paying a penny in three months), but Amex is trying to work a deal with them - 0 interest rate and a lower payment - I got sent to the collection agency after one month, when they cut my account.
No question you work for GC, you are a moron and totally insensitive to the hardship that people are going through these days. - John Doe| 1 replyUmmm, everyone is saying GC services is working for Amex. I have never had an American Express card and these fools are calling me. Makes me wonder what other CC company they work for...

- TMS replies to NAGGot the same "nasty" message looking for a family member.
- Used to live in the USAmex set these people on you the moment you stop paying. I had a card for many years always paid sometimes $1000s a month. Then they cut my credit to what I owed them which put me out of the business I was doing. This was done by AMX they said because of my credit report, which was found to be wrong. I check it all the problems were cause by my divorce in CA. I tried to explain this to AMX and they just beat me up and taked trash to me so I did not pay them. Then the harassment comes from GC in 30 days they hound you all over the world. I have stopped working in the US due to these companies and the CA divorce laws everybody should do this the laws need to be changed. Amex and I will never do any business ever again until they back of and applogise to be for their uncalled for why of doing business.

- kloThey also do collections for GMAC. I have been trying to get them to give me an explanation of the debt they insist I owe (I've asked via phone and also twice in writing), yet I have received nothing other than a blanket statement showing GMAC and the amount owed.

- LoriJust received a call on my (and mine only) personal, unlisted home phone from this company. They called looking for someone and the first jerk I talked to would not identify the service provided by "GC Services" he got quite argumentative with me. He obviously had caller ID because he knew immediately what person they had called for without my even saying the name. The guy was very argumentative and was tring to push me around on the phone refused to tell me what the business was. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Mr. Loren (?) who also gave me the name of the person they were looking for. I told him that the number they called was not a good number for the person and it is my home phone number and told them to stop calling me. The "supervisor" also refused to tell me what "service" they provide...due to legalities he said. He then asked what phone number to take off because there were "several" associated with the person they were trying to find I told him the first three digits and he asked for the rest. I told him to get it off his caller ID that he obviously had since as soon as I called in the associated some other name with my phone number. Anyway, he continued to argue with me and ultimately hung up on me. NICE...[***] calling my house!

- sounds fishy| 1 replyReceived multiple calls on my cell phone, another cell phone (our cell numbers are on the same account. Not on the AMEX account ) my place of employment, and home. If Karen (the scratchy voice on the message) really did get all of my contact info. from AMEX, she would just e-mail me. Probably doesn't want the paper trail. Though I do have a recording of every one of her calls. Karen has never told me who she represents, just makes it sound as though we are familiar. Her line is" Please call me back as soon as you get this message. I need to tell you about what has transpired in my office, which is probably something you don't even know about. I have conflicting information. It appears as though you were in a program, but my notes vary. You may be getting a refund, or could get in a new program." Seriously? I have an AMEX card. Back in the day, when I had a real job, I paid over the minimum, on time, etc. As soon as I paid a substantial amount down, AMEX took that amount off my credit line, making my line of credit maxed out. Now I struggle to make any payment. Karen, specifically, what "program" would that be? Middle class poverty? Yup, that's me to a T. Thanks for being yet another, lying scammer in my day. It's like "Peter crying wolf". After a while every phone call is just another lie from scammers.
