the caller left a reference number and asked to call back. seems like a collection company to me. the message was addressed to an unknown person though...

Caller left a recorded message (often) which is as follows:

Hello this is Jake Morgan calling. I know my office has been trying to contact you, and I can understand you might be hesitant to return our call but it is important that I speak with you. My number 1-800-932-5786. Now, I am rendering a decision on a matter that concerns you, and I'd like to extend you the chance to participate. Doing so may actually benefit you, so please, call me back, its an 800 number, 1-800-932-5786. And again, this is Jake Morgan.

Submitted to the do not call registry, no response yet. No idea who it is. Obviously not a good idea to actually call them, some sort of scam.

Exactly the same as the July 28th above.  "Jake Morgan"  Called numerous times in Aug too.  I called Jake Morgan back on another phone number.  He was not available the woman asked number was called.  I would not give her the number.  She said fine and hung up on me.

This number is MRS Associates, a bottom feeding collection agency. Don't return their calls, and under no circumstances speak to them! See: www.budhibbs.com

I have been receiving the exact same phone calls from this "Jake Morgan" for weeks now.  He does not state who the call is for, nor what company he is working with.  I would never answer a call that doesn't give me any information...except that he can understand my hesitance to call....Why haven't I received any written letters from this automated "Jake Morgan"?  Thanks to NY (above)- I have just come back from www.budhibbs.com and must say it is the most informative site I have come across.

Called and I answered. Asked if I knew who James Bond was. I responded, no. Then he proceeded to ask many other random questions. DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS! They are certainly scams.

Called and asked to be taken off list as this is a business. They did not do it. Called again, but have a feeling they will not remove it. Have no idea who the person is that they are looking for.

This company calls repeatedly several times a day! Have told them that the person they are looking for is not at this number and to remove it from their database. Got a call again within the same half hour. When I picked it up they put me on hold... I guess that was "payback" for telling them not to call anymore. I am wondering why this company feels they have the time to keep calling even though they know the person they are searching for is not at this number.

hang up on 2/5/09 at 8:55 a.m. while I am still asleep. No message.

I had just activated my new cell phone with my new number and within 30 seconds of activation I had a voice mail from these people looking for somebody that I don't know. The following morning number called and I answered stating that I had just activated this phone and I don't know the person they are trying to find. They said I would be removed from list and would not call back. We'll see

keep calling new cell number but no message don't these idiots have any balls no wonder they just sit on there [***] and bother people would like to see them face to face probably a real jerk min wage failure

MRS Associate...Also call using 312-985-0022 and 312-985-0023. Trying to collect a debt over 7 year old. hahaha. Good luck with that buddy. Have Verizon cellphone so now placed their numbers as blocked calls. Thanks Verizon!

Hahaha...same thing with me. Some old car loan from 9 years ago. Blocked all their numbers 0021,0022,0023,0024...Love Verizon!

Received a call from this company at work yesterday afternoon about 3pm. The first six digits that appeared on my caller ID was 713-574, which is a local number. A lady name Jackie Taylor wanted to speak to me. I told her I am not allowed to take personal calls at work and that I would call her later.  She gave me this number to return the call: 800-832-5786.  I did not return the call after checking out the number on this site. This morning, I received a call from them on my cell but the number on my caller ID was 832-632-4584. Same lady, same contact number.  If they are based in another state, then why do 2 separate local numbers show up on my caller ID?  Sounds suspicious to me.

They keep calling my home, they are VERY rude...  They also call from (312) 985-0022
They will not tell you who they are, they ACT very much like a collections company, ready to argue at a drop of a hat!
