This is message that I have received numerous times.  I have in the past taken the time to return the call because once I reached them the individual that they were seeking was not at my telephone number.  When they call they never mention who they are looking for.  The automatic message is the following:

This is message is from CVCS, formerly known as CCS.  Please return our call at (800) 933-6773.  This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.  Again, our number is 800)933-6773.

Called on cell with number blocked. Will not tell you name of the company at all.

got the same recorded message.  Returned call on my blocked landline but they refused to give info but they wanted my info.

The name of the company is (or at least was) Comprehensive Collection Services and they are located in Bath, Michigan although they have a P.O. Box in East Lansing, Michigan.

I got all the same information as reported above.  With NO CALLER ID, I refuse to respond.  If they are that secretive something must be going on "under the table".

Some guy named Tim called by girlfriend on my cell phone (it is in her name) and said that he wanted to talk to her because he had a personal file that needed updating.  He then asked if she still lived on the same street and if she still worked at the same place.

Sounds like a collection agency to me.

CBCS called me from 517-669-4140 and stated that I owed them a debt and if I refused to pay they would hunt down and kill my family.  These people are insane!!

I was called twice today. A message was left that it is a collection agency, and I need to call them. I did, but the message said that the call can not be connected as dialed.

I received a call from them also. I returned the call after receiving a message from them about collecting a debt. When I called them back I told them I was not the person they were looking for. They told me they would take me off their list. I tried to call them back wondering how they got my number at all, but then it just kept saying the number could not be completed as dialed. The person they were looking for had the same first name as me, but not the same last name....weird.

I got a call and this is the # that the guy told me. He had what sounded like a really thick Indian accent (Surprise surprise :3) I couldn't really make out anything other than the phone number.

I have been getting a call also from this company stating they are looking for a Rose Rameria which does not even live here & we do not know her. the man stated his name was Brad from CBCS. Next time if I catch him calling again he will get a good piece of my mind.

If anyopne knows the exact address of this business please post it here for I will get Vito to pay them all a visit.

Got a call from 517-668-0615 (Michigan based number). The guy said his name was Mark and asked for my daughter. I told him that this was my phone (cell) and I could take a message. He told me he was from CBCS and gave me the 800-933-6773 number for her to call. He also recited something that sounded like her address. At least he was polite.

Won't call them back.  They'll try to get too much personal information.

I got the same message on my prepaid cell, NEVER call them back. Same numbee and same message above.  Watch out a lot of scammers and crooks out there taht lost their jobs.  Don't give any personal info.  Caller ID 800-933-6773

Oakwood Hospital use it  to collect debt

called and left a message asking to speak to my husband... who died in March.  Same message regarding the attempt to collect a debt....

They called but it showed as "No Caller ID". I answered anyway and talked with a young woman named Suzanne who asked for my wife. I said she wasn't available but would take a message. She gave me the 1-800 number and wanted to verify our address. When I asked her what this was concerning, she asked who I was. I asked once again about the purpose of the call, but she said that she couldn't give out any personal information until she could verify who I was. I pointed out that she just gave out an address, which is pretty personal. She asked if my wife still worked at a certain company. When I told her that I couldn't give out any personal information without knowing what the purpose of the call was, she got off the phone.

Seems like a debt collector to me but I'm not 100% positive.

This 1-800-933-6773 number has contacted me multiple times. As I asked why I was in 'debt', they stated it was because of an unpaid hospital bill in Erie, PA. A friend of mine received a call as well for a hospital bill; but he has never been to Mass General Hospital as he lives in Ohio. What I don't understand is why this debt collection agency, CBCS, is collecting debts from different parts of the country. Is this really a scam?

This is a collection agency be careful. For those who are curious and would like to stop by and talk with them they are located in the shopping outlet mall called Clarke corners. This is located in Dewitt Michigan.  The offices are in the far back right corner.

I just got two separate calls from this agency on my work cell phone number within a minute of each other. I was on the phone with the first call when the second one popped up in call waiting. They are looking for my sister and I'm wondering how they found me (we have different last names) and more importantly, my work cell phone number. They asked me to pass along their name and number to her but told me it was of a "personal matter".
