It's not fishing, they call for any billing issue, including wrong addresses, the reson some of you are getting calls so close together, is either A. you have a spending limit account and you are nearing or over the limit. B. you are consistantly past due and only paying your past due bal to keep service on. if B is the case you are likely to get a lot of calls, they will not call you if you are not deliquent. you can have them send you back into the auto system or pay online if you prefer, and by the way any calls to or from sprint are FREE calls. including the "your bill is past due" text.
This is to you "Moe"! YOU ARE FULL OF IT! This is a scam! I have received the calls myself and have never, ever in my 50 years ever had business with these people. Called Sprint and they also indicated that it is a scam.
It is not a scam. Don't listen to idoits who freak out about anyone, let alone the compainies you do business with calling them. No one in the call centers know all of the calls sprint makes. It's a giant company. Call that number back and you'll find out. The number is issued to Sprint on top of it. jeesh! Just pay your bill on time!
I receive hang up calls from this number. I don't think it is Sprint because I receive different e-mails, voicemails, and text messages directly from Sprint when I am past due or the limit. I still get these calls even when my balance is paid in full.
Moe is EXACTLY correct. This is Sprint/Nextel Financial Services, calling to tell you you are nearing or over your preset spending limit or you have a past due balance. They are not calling to sign you up for service, update your address, change your service....it is PURELY related to money owed or asking if you need to make payment arrangement on a past due balance before they suspend your service due to over limit fees, unpaid balance, etc.
Yes it is Sprint. I got a call from them last month and actually answered it. I had been consistently late for a few months and they wanted to set payment arrangement to keep my phone from being disconnected. They did not ask for SS# or credit card numbers or anything like that.
These people insult you and have no idea about what they are talking about. Well my room mate gave them an earfull back. What you can dish it but you cant take it?????
If you have this number calling you, your Sprint/Nextel account is past due. It's better to get this call as a reminder than having your phone service just cut off. If you think this call was an error than your phone number is the contacts for the account that is past due. It's not fraud or a scam. Best thing to do is call Sprint and pay direct through them, or pay online.
I got a call but I didn't owe any money. So was really weird. I even went to pay and it wouldn't let me because it said I have a credit balance. I just got off a 45 min phone call with Sprint who can't explain why they called with the $84.00 balance due but they did confirm that this is thier number! If it was fraud....it would have taken my credit card information but wouldn't because I had a credit balance!
This is not the usual automated payment reminder from Sprint. I have had Sprint for years. This is the first time this number has come up and the message is drastically different than the norm. Out of caution, I don't intend to answer it or respond to it. I call the number Sprint provides on its bills. This isn't one of them.
i have sprint, im a slacker and always late on my bill..lol its the auto call moe is right. and you paranoid scam watchers have nothing better to do then bicker in a forum??? get a life or a job.
