Evelyn26 Jun 2007- Got call from this number 800-940-4955 here at home, since I didn't recognize it, I picked up phone and immediately hung up thinking it was another one of those pesty unknown 800 numbers that have been relenlessly bothering us. Shortly thereafter it happenened again. I responded the same. Then my wife who is visiting out of state called to say when she got to the airport her Delta flight home is delayed, and she said she was being bothered by an 800 number calling her cell phone, but she didn't answer it. Meanwhile I went to our computer and found an email from Delta, saying her flight was delayed and showing details. Now I know that this is a legitimate phone call from 800-940-4955 giving us a heads up on the delay as a service which I forgot we signed up on our skymiles account for but never used before as we were never delayed before. They cycled thru our home and cell and email to give us the warning of the delay. I wish we would have answered the first call because we could have saved ourselves some time. Conclusion: I think this is a legitimate number and service provided by Delta. I believe you can remove these numbers online from your skymiles account if you ever put them in.

- Hilary19 Sep 2007I had two missed calls from this number while i was at work so i decided to google it to find out who it was. which brought me to this sit when i called back it was delta airlines. i have not made plans to fly with any air line to fly at all in the furture and i have not flown for two years and even then it was my mother who made the reservations. So i have no idea why they are calling my cell phone.

- Fester26 Nov 2007It was so nice that delta called. Saying I was late for my flight. I was thinking I needed a vacation. But not through Delta. They call twice back to back Nov. 25. 6:45pm. We didn't answer and went to the answer machine. I ran the phone number in general search and came up with a number with a casino with a similar number. Our number is a private unlisted number. We've never flown with Delta. So someone is watching us.
- Dave21 Dec 2007What a joke. I'm getting all kinds of calls from this number and Delta tells me that they can't even look up the old account by using this phone number. It has to be reasigned from the original user. I fly all the time and won't fly delta just because they have made someone elses account issue my problem. My cell phone rings from them a few times a month.
