they called me several times a day and do not leave any message. sometimes i answer but they don't say anything. i called them back and sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't, and when they do it's a RUDE person trying to sell some stuff. i told them not to call but they just kept offering some kind of special offer and kept forcing it on me when i tell them i don't want it.

These people have called me probably 20 times.  I ask to be taken off the list every time.  This time I called back and they answered saying they were John Brown. I wanted all the info they could give me about how they got my info.  They gave me a website, financialeducation.com, and an email address to that site.  Of course, it's not even their real site.

The lady was so rude to me I finally ended up cursing her out and hanging up.

These people are scammers of the worst kind.

I want to know where in the hell they got my information and I'm going after whoever sold them my card information.

It is a scam, they somehow get your info from online purchases you make and then call you. shortly after you talk to someone who has most of your info including your credit card number, a charge will show up on your card. I told them I was not interested in whatever they were offering.  The guy I was talking to kept saying all my personal info as though that would validate himself.  Any way the first charges are small (under $5) then right after your billing cycle they will charge bigger stuff (gives them a full month to rip you off).I caught it because I didnt have a balance, but got a bill. They called my cell which I only use while doing online purchases. They said they were from my credit card company (B of A) which doesnt have my cell number so I knew it was scam.

Financial Education of America )www.financialeducationofamerica.com)
Like the rest of us, I too get calls from these people.  I called them back and the guy answered "Financial Education of America" .  If you go to their website, it shows the same offer they peddle on the phone.  Basically telemarketing.

I got a call from this number.  the person said I was getting rewards from a credit card and produced the last 4 digits of said card.  When I asked for information about who he was with, I was told he wasnt going to give me any information if I wasnt going to give him any.  I told him he wasnt affiliated with my credit company, to which he replied "Oh yes we are", and hung up.  I immediately called the number back, the voice that answered was the same one I had talked to, and claimed the company was "Financing Education of America", but I would bet that changes frequently.

called me twice within 10 minutes. asked to verify recent activity on one of my credit cards and said the last four numbers of the card. i told them i don't have a credit card with those numbers. i asked them if they were one of my creditors and they said no. i asked them what i purchased and they said they did not have access to that information. then i asked them what they were selling and they said dental insurance. i told them no thanks and they hung up. the next caller when i said to him you just called me he hung up and when i tried to call back he just kept hanging up on me. i called my cell  company to have the number blocked but they cant block just one number. i also tried reverse phone directory to look up the company but had no luck. if they call me again i will say i need the insurance and get their company info and post it all over the net!!!!

My mother has been getting simlar calls too - no number id, but the coversation is very similar to yours.  The only people that had this information as of late was Home Depot - after the four credit card digits and phone number were given to them, the calls started.

I called the number back and was notified by a recording that I had reached American No-Debt.  The phone rang for a while then I got a recording that said I had "reached them outside their normal business hours," and to try back later.  Too bad they didn't state any normal business ours...
