Have been getting calls from this number every week or so. When I call back it says "The Northland Group" but no one is answering the call.

accused us of owing money to capital one. i don't even use that card

They called a couple of times when I first got this phone number. Then they stopped for a few months, and now I've gotten calls 2 weeks in a row. Based on another company that kept calling me and I was finally able to speak with, I'm guessing this is a collection agency that's after the last owner of the cell phone number I have. I registered my cell phone number with the Do Not Call list... wish they'd stop calling.

they call almost every day, some stupid guy try to make his voice deeper and even that I explained to him that he has the wrong information, he keeps calling and calling, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!!

yeah, they call my cell phone. i pay my bills every month.  i think it was the previous owner of my cell number.  they used to ask for some lady that i told them she doesn't have this number anymore....annoying, waste of my minutes...

I am getting about 5 calls a day from this number at all hours of the day. They never leave a message, and when I answer no one is there.  I have no idea who this is and it is getting so annoying!  I work late hours and sleep late, and they call as early as 8 AM!  I wish someone would be there on the other line when I answer so I can tell them to screw off.

I've received several calls over the past few days from this company looking for 2 different people.  They don't leave messages, but when I pick up they very tersely request to speak with someone that doesn't live here.  I say 'no, you have the wrong number' and they hang up.

Today I phoned back and explained that I recently got my # as a second/business line from Vonage.  They said 2 different collections efforts were seeking people listed as having my #.  The person I spoke with said they removed my #.  Time will tell if this worked...

They refuse to work with me on low regular payments; but continue to call and harass, threaten multiple times a day on an auto dial system.

Send them a Cease and Desist letter VIA Certified mail (with return receipt requested). You do not HAVE to put up with their harassment!

Today someone call me from this number and a spanish guy asked for Jessica... but he called before in several ocasions, I just have activated my cell phone # last week and during the first 10 minutes I got calls from this same guy but from a different phone number, one was this 1-800 but i'm almost sure that his # is 208-639-6830, please call them back as many times as you can to make their lives miserable!!

These people are just down right stupid.  You tell them that the person doesn't live here and they still babble.  Today, I told them that Norman didn't live here and the guy asked me where I got my manners from (I wasn't very friendly) and I told from my Mother and she did a fine job at teaching me thank you.  He didn't like my response and said something that I didn't catch and then hung up.  They have called us everyday now for the last four months.  HOW STUPID ARE THEY?  Something needs to be done.  Maybe if we all stick together it will stop.

They continue to call the UNLV dining, looking for someone I'm not sure EVER worked here, let alone is currently employed. Plus, they were extrememly rude.

I called back and told the guy I wanted our number taken off their list, and he said they would. I also told him his callers were very rude, and we'd be phoning the Better Business Bureau if anyone from Northland group called here again.

Hope they got the message!

They told me I have a capital one card in collection, but I don't have one. When I informed her, she became rude. She told me to send them a report of identity theft, but didn't tell me how, or even who to call when I asked.

Number rings in at all different times and a recorded message says please call us back, the Northland Group, Edina Minn. I assume it is a collector.

This # 208-639-6830 is the same company as # 877-250-7416
The name is Valentine and Kebartas and they are a collection agency.  
They call at all hours of the day, as late as 10 pm.  I try to tell them they have the wrong number but they insist that I am lying and still call everyday.  Very frustrating.

(800) 942-1572 and Northland group have called seven times daily (combined) and every time I answer, I get a recorded message saying please hold...Then, it either hangs up or I am on hold for eternity.  Can this be considered harrassment? After reading the other posts on this number and group, I am in shock as I have never had a credit card of any kind.
