It was some kind of collection agency I think who was looking for someone that I don't know.

This is a collection agency who's looking for someone with a very similar name.  I've received calls from them for a few years all related to this same person.  Everytime they realize that they've got the wrong person and yet the calls keep coming.  Very annoying!

The call starts with a recorded message asking me to wait for an important message and is often repeated serveral times.  Then a person asks for Heather Clement and I have told them many times that this is not her number and never has been and that I do not know her.  They either apologize or just hang up.  I get another call hours later or the next day.

Rec'd call today asking for Jerry Barney.  Told caller that Jerry Barney did not live here.  We finally decided this was a collection agency looking for Barney's son-in-law who filed for bankruptcy.  His creditors keep calling us (4 years now).  We have been cursed and called every name in the book! After calling and writing the attorney general's office the calls stopped for a while.  Now we are receiving them again!  Companies such as PeopleSearch have our names associated with these people and I think this is causing some of the confusion.  I wish someone could get this straightened out.  We are tired of the calls.

Collection Agency that is illiterate, obviously, because they cannot understand engRish.  No really.

this caller keeps calling and asking for a strange name;they ask you if your home alone

MRS Associates called my in laws asking for me. I called their 800# and they claim I have a bill but it is NOT my bill. How did they get my in laws number? I have tried to straighten this out but this company keeps harassing my in laws.

Calls everyday

It is calling me 4 to 5 times a day and even at night time, it's been that way for 3 weeks already. Whenever I pick it up it tells me to wait for another important message.

This company never leave voice mail in regards to who they are.  I just ignore them.  If they were a real collection agency, why don't they leave a message?

I called them back and they asked if I knew so-and-so, which I did not.  They took me off their list.

These people have called my house 15 or 20 times looking for my step son's ex-wife.  Their automated dialer says it is an "important call for Jane Q Smith" and to press 1 if this is Jane, press 2 if time is needed for Jane to come to the phone, or press 3 if Jane doesn't live there.  It doesn't matter if I select option 1, 2 or 3 - it hangs up.  I used *69 to get the number.  I called the number, a man answered "hello Jane", I said "no, this is George".  I told him I was tired of the calls and the automated phone system that hangs up no matter what option is selected.  He hung up.

They call, but I don't answer when I do not recognize the source of a number.  Bogus?

calls used to come in from a private number. Always ask for a Rebecca. I always tell them they have the wrong number. Have asked several times to be removed from their calling list. Calls stopped for a while but got one today from this 800 number.

Receive pre-recorded call asking to hold for an important message that never comes. At least twice a day. I have blocked this number.

MRS Associates Inc. is a collection agency headquartered in New Jersey. The agency claims to settle delinquent accounts in quick time using efficient recovery specialists and collection methods. However, most consumers are not satisfied with the agency's services and have a lot of complaints against them.

If you don't want them to call you anymore, send them a Cease and Desist letter.  If they violate this, you can be compensated by $1000 each time they call.  Just an FYI, but look it up under the FDCPA laws!!

This number calls my house continuosly.  At 8:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m., etc. etc.  They used to call here a lot and I finally called them back to find out what they wanted.  They were looking for someone who doesn't even live here.  I told them a while back that person did not live here and I have had my phone number for 8 years.  

They started calling back again.  So tonight I called them and it was MRS Associates, they said they were a financial service institution.  I asked why they keep calling me and they said they were looking for a certain individual and asked me if he was available.  I told them "No".  I told them I wanted them to stop calling my number or I was going to report them to the FCC.
