Three calls claiming to be from an "executive recruiter" named "Candie Stohl" (I'm guessing on the spelling).  The callback number is an anonymous 800 number with an automated menu.

Asked for me by first name and left a message over lunch hour at my work number saying he needed help with something and then this 800# and an extension. Calling the 800 number led to answering machine that did not specify company name but merely asked me to dial extension. Dialing this extension led to another phone with no name and yet another extension# to be called if the caller is an "internal employee". Very bogus.

Same thing happened to me, however, the person used the name Darren Jhagroo.  I felt that this was bogus but was not sure until I looked out here.  Thanks.

Here is the information that the person gave me:
The person used the name:
Darren Jhagroo
Research Recruiter
Mankuta Gallagher and Associates
1800- 958-2763 x1029
djhagroo@mankutagallagher.com

It just did not sound right!  I called back the number and it said that they were upgrading the phone lines and hit 0 to get an operator.  He asked for contact information, salary information and work experience information.  Claims to be an executive recruiter.

funny that you sent your resume and wanted a new job though.  Wouldn't it be interesting to let your boss know that you are secretly looking for a new job.  If this company wasn't legit, how would we know that we have your resume.  You should think before you start slandering.

I'm willing to believe that you are an actual legitimate recruiting company and that you are indeed upgrading your phone system.  Who know's I might even have thought about using your recruiters to seek opportunites in the Bay Area.  However, after reading this post where you basically threaten someone with potentially contacting his boss to inform him that his employee is looking for another job, I believe that I would turn to another recruiting agency.
That individual had all the right to think that you're company was bogus.  Even I when I tried to call back, I wasn't able to get through.  Also, when I reviewed the Mankuta Gallagher and Associates website, nowhere did the number 800-958-2763 appear.  Neither does the person who called me Candy Stahl (spell?).

So, why, do you have people calling saying that they are representing different types of conferences? You lie to get confidential information from major corporations
to benefit yourselves. Not to help anyone but yourselves and your wallets. If this is how you run your business - well, then you need to find a new job!

I was stuck in an organization that was not beneficial for my career and my family. I was one day approached by a recruiter that changed my life giving me an opportunity to make things better. Darren Jhagroo an executive recruiter for Mankuta Gallagher & Associates helped me make a difference and showed me the way. I am currently at a fortune 500 hundred company that shows promise and owe alot of this to Darren.I saw a negative comment about there organization and felt that the truth should be told.

Just got one today, from a "Candy Stohl."  Told me that someone "referred me," and that she has an executive opportunity for me.  1-800-958-2763 x111.

I find it funny that she wouldn't mention whom she represents.  Very creepy tactic.

I was receiving these calls around September/October of last year too.  Called back then, and received the same automated menu.  Just how long does it take to update a phone system?

I received a suspicious telephone call from someone purporting to be “putting together a conference for the American Heart Association,” and asking for names and contact information for number of specialized individuals within my company.  The caller identified herself as Tammy Dixon (sp?) and the telephone number that she gave me was 800 958 2763 ext 139.  As this appeared to be a misrepresentation of the AHA, I contacted the AHA subsequently to inform them, and have sent the information along to them.

I just received a "mystery call" AT WORK from "Tamara" leaving a callback number of 800-958-2763. You recruiters are pretty dumb and really waste my time! At first I thought it was a client and had to spend several minutes trying to figure out who the heck she was.  Thank goodness for the internet.  Even if we job seekers reach out to one recruiting firm, you all seem to swarm on the opportunity and you start cold-calling us AT OUR CURRENT JOBSS. I also know that you just start dialing extensions randomly to try to speak with anyone.  Its easy to get our names as most of us leave them in our outgoing messages. It has happened at my company on several occasions. The only recruiting firm I want to deal with is the one I contact, and they should only be calling me at work if I ask them to.
