Looks like they were sued once before for harassment:

    RipOff Report:  http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/244/RipOff0244886.htm

Here is a short form to submit a complaint to the Minnesota Attorney General's Office:  http://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Complaint.asp

We have the same complaint as many other people--we are NOT the people they are looking for - don't owe anyone anything and have NEVER had a credit problem. If you have a complaint against this company as we do, take the time to print out the complaint form and mail it to the Minnesota Attorney General's Office.  The company is Allied Interstate Collection Agency, Minneapolis, MN.

These idiots continue to call my home and harrass us.  They hang up and don't speak when you answer the phone.  I called them back and am doing the same thing.  Someone named Kathy answers the phone.  They use 3 different numbers and call approximately every hour.  I don't owe any debt and have no idea why they believe they can harrass.  Went to BBB and they have one of the most disgusting reports.  They opened in 1976 and evidently this owner loves to harrass people who don't owe anyone anything.  Man...what a gig.  What goes around comes around.

I am getting 2-3 calls per day even on weekends at 7:30 in the morning on weekends to ay the least thi is a big case of harrassement! I am to the point of just picking up my phone an just hanging up. I am dissabled an have to rush because i only have 1 phone in the living room. This is been really hard on me and really may colapse doing so with enphazema i can hardly go to the kitchen without getting out of breath!
Health wise i really can't take it anymore. Please get them to stop.I am using my ihalers slot more than needed when this happens and my heart starts hurting.
the thing is i gave them my debit card number to withdraw 10.00 dollars amonth to take care of this and still it continues! I have tried!

I have had this number call my phone back to back, sometimes 6-7 times in a row. They don't leave messages, they don't speak when you do answer, and when you call them back, no one gives you the right information. I thought about filing a nationwide lawsuit for harrasment and having anyone that receives these calls join in on it.

I get a call from the 800-966-0755  phone number a few times a day. Every time that I answer, I get hung up on... I have filed complaints with the BBB and Attorney General's office and the company, Allied Interstate Collections, never even responded the BBB.

Do this... answer the call and hit the # sign continuously...  #########  it confuses their machine and they will hang up

Have been receiving almost daily calls on my cell phone from 800-966-0755.  If I answer; they hang up.  If I ignore the call, they do not leave a message.

After researching the number and learning it belongs to Allied Interstate Debt Collectors, I called them today.  A female answered as Allied Interstate, I introduced myself and inquired about the numerous calls made to my cell number.  She asked if I knew such and such person; my number was given as a contact.  I told her I had never heard of the person, my cell was tied to a business, and requested they immediately remove the number from their directory.  She apologized and confirmed the number was being removed as we spoke.

Has called 5 times since April 7 to May 4 so far. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. That's what voice mail is for, to weed out people I don't want to talk to!
    Called times were: 7pm 3pm 8:45pm 11:50am and 1:35pm.
Anyone who needs free voice mail can integrate Google Voice or some other free service into their existing phone. Technology! :-)

If that's the case with back to back to back calls that is a clear case of harassment and you need to keep notes of times and day of week and so forth, the laws are cracking down on these deadbeat debt collectors and some states are making it much easier to go after them, that's what you need to do .
Contacting your attorney general is almost useless it's up to you to fight back not your state .

The call and hang ups are computer generated and they record when your phone is answered, what the collectors are trying to do is figure out at what times your more likely to answer there calls and they believe that until you actually answer your phone it's not harassment, that is were they are wrong some states have laws that only allow a collector to call X amount of times per day back to back phone calls are a form of harassment but they try to revert back to the later statement.
A lot of states are changing there laws about debt collection due to overwhelming complaints by the public in this economic time, which is making it easier to not only report them but also to sue them debt collectors like this one are on borrowed time .

You can go to Google Voice and sign up for free....and block these people from your number.  When you sign up, wait until they call back, then push 8 on the menu, and they are blocked for ever!  I love it!
